Yep saw this as I was leaving Murray bridge, grass fire started by angle grinder. Can’t see much smoke from my place now so hopefully under control.

Bushfires being started by dumb people using angle grinders on super hot days.

IIRC a massive bushfire in the Perth hills a few years ago was started by someone using power tools during a total fire ban. IIRC they got a lengthy prison sentence.

I don't understand why anyone would think using power tools on a total fire ban day is a good idea

I've got a gas Weber Q at home and technically it can be used on total fire ban days but I wouldn't even think of turning it on - rather pick up some take away with someone else doing the cooking

As much as my workplace has helped me grow (confidence and purpose etc) ... in some ways staying there is akin to being kicked in the balls multiple times each week.

The selfishness and toxicity drives me nuts
I know I can't complain as I'm still there and aside from avoiding the crap as much as possible... the only "comfort" is that the money is A+++ for the work that I do.

I did that once, I bought some stuff in the store and forgot that I got fuel as well, a girl that worked there had to run out to remind me to pay for my fuel before I drove off which was a bit embarrassing.

I also got fuel once and absent mindedly drove off without paying for it, it wasn't until I got home I realised I didn't pay for it.

I probably should have done the right thing and gone back to pay for it but I couldn't be bothered, it was only 25 bucks worth.

I should have filled up the tank to make it worth my while, most people that do a deliberate runner would fill up their tanks first.

Mrs and I were talking about V day on the way to cash in all the cans and bottles at the recycling place.
She got a rose and a coffee from her work..

Her and the girls were talking about V day they asked if I brought her flowers yes but not every year it's not a big deal she said.
They were shocked .then another girl goes my hubby didn't me flowers one year I said I didn't want any and she still raged.
Then the next year her hubby spend 100 dollars on flowers and she raged hard because it was too much .
Poor bloke .

I honestly couldn’t give a flying fart in space if my husband gives me flowers (or chocolate or anything else) on Valentines Day. We’ve been married 25 years in April and he knows me well enough to be confident that I say what I mean and mean what I say; and when I say I don’t want something, I fully mean it. I’ve never had the slightest interest in flowers, or any traditionally “feminine” (ew) things. I don’t need one gazetted day of the year to show, or be shown love.
