rocker_oz33 , I’ve just thrown some more tools from roof height as I failed at another handyman attempt. This time my stormwater setup failed when I chose the wrong sized rivets and everything has fallen apart. Think my blood pressure is 200/150 atm

Drill them out and try bigger rivets. And a cold beer whilst performing the task for therapy

Bunnings got me with that a year or three ago. Bought a pack of 3mm pop rivets. Turned out they were 1/8". Good thing I had 1/8" stub drills on hand. Holes drilled.

Get a few rivets in "gee that feels loose" - yep, mix of 1/8" and 3mm rivets.

I see that in our totally metric country since 1974 that Bunnings now sell them as 3.2mm x 12.7mm rivets. Which of course is 1/8" x 1/2".

**** I hate Bunnings.

Yep fixed with bigger rivets. I drink alcohol anymore so a cold soft drink has eased the anger.

Yep I didn’t realise they weren’t correct until the pipe held water and the weight shifted everything and water was not flowing where it was meant to. A simple job has not turned into a nightmare as I have to install fence rail from the roof to the tank to stop the pipe from sagging.

Was in Bunnings the other day.

I had 50$ left on my voucher .

Had heaps of marked down plants etc.
Went to checkout .
I said can I give you all the markdowns ones first.
Cashier goes no it's fine JUST PUT THE BASKET DOWN.
Geez no need to tell.

Don t hate them but sometimes they can shite ya.

* they have missed the markdowns at the checkout so many times.

2 shells 10kms apart. 50 cent difference. How is this legal ?
It's the market around them that dictates the price.

I'm lucky as I have a cheap Apco that usually don't raise by anymore than 30 cents. They also hold for nearly 2 weeks on the upward cycle. It also keeps the other Servos close by prices down.

Gumtree.

Them 7.20am: Hi. Is this still available?
Me 7.22am: Yes. It is still available.

Them was never heard from again.
I’ve heard that this is how some poor lonely souls get their jollies. Probably make several of these calls at a time.
