I think he has as well but right now I would rather have another look despite the fact I think he is done.
Wright had one good year. He was in a similar position with Gold Coast to where he is now before we traded for him. This tells me he's capable of getting it back and his loss of form was due to a number of factors.
1. He missed a big block through a serious injury and when he returned it would have effected his ability to catch the ball above his head.
2. He isn't necessarily a pea-heart, but he's not an animal and that suspension affected him.
3. We started playing a high press and there was no room for him to lead into.

This year, if we're moving the ball quicker and there is space up forward he could get back his form. While he may not get back the same level of effectiveness up forward, with Bryan out for the year we need a ruck/forward with Draper spending more time on the ball than we originally planned this year.

The first few weeks we desperately needed a decent sized forward to kick to. We still lack in that. Wright playing in decent form, not necessarily reaching the levels he did before he got his 4 year contract, could be that extra target to kick long to. This will allow Kako and Menzies to crumb and Langford and Caddy can lead up at the ball.

Wright is still on 28.

Wright for byran.

Tempted to make Jones the sub.
Doesn't give you the burst and impact but covers all areas and Wright a better option as back up ruck to start.

Jones hasn't exactly been setting world on fire but does run hard to make contests.

We looked good smaller and i don't like Wright, Jones, caddy, perkins as a starting fwd line.

Jones as 2nd ruck no Wright or jones as sub/dropped.

Well I did say we needed to have another look.

Thinking we will go with just one change - OUT: Bryan IN: 2MP
Kako to SUB. Team;-

Ridley McKay McGrath
Redman Reid Roberts
Duursma Shiel SEH
Martin Jones Gresham
2MP Caddy Menzie

Draper Durham Merrett

Bench: Setters Hobbs Perkins Prior
SUB: Kako

no way we play wright, had played 1 60 min practice match... Drapes to for 80% and caddy to cover the gaps.

if there was ever a game to put Wright in....it's against WCE....

There is no absolutely ****in way we put Caddy in the ruck. If we need to put stop gap in it will be Harrison Jones, who did it against Melbourne when Bryan was injured.

For me,
Out Bryan, in Goldie.

Keep Setters in the midfield, Draper playing again as majority fwd, Jones as a 3rd tall.

I can't see 2MP play just yet. 1 good game of short quarters in VFL isn't enough. Lacks critical contested marks, getting the ball to ground.
Tsatas doesn't have the same impact just yet to play instead of Setters. Still 6 months + away.

I think there are 2 Good Friday games.
One is during the day at 320.
That is not a Friday night game. If it was Collingwood on the evening I reckon they would show it for sure. Oh well will just wait for the replay the next day and read what you guys are posting on game day - better for my ticker anyway hahaha

West Coast co-captain Oscar Allen will reportedly miss tomorrow night’s clash with Essendon in Perth.
