I would rather he double fist it than drop the mark or be beaten in a marking contest.

I don't get this. It's elite level afl football.

Marking a ball when you have clean air is a basic task. Or is the game that quick you never know if under pressure and ball speed/ running speed makes it tough to mark.

90% kicks, hands, tackling, running local players couldn't do but the double fist when clear and judging the ball unopposed bewilders me.

Anyone know why double fist is a thing at elite level?

Prior hands seem okay based on friday night. Starting to like him as prior, Reid, ridley all seem to have above average foot skills.

Not hating his game anymore, I guess that's an improvement.

At times when under pressure really lasers the ball a good distance to teammates. I think it's largely a case of developing belief from this point onward.

To clear this up I would rather have a player able to mark the ball but if Prior is in the side and has marking issues then I am happy if he double fists it rather than being out marked that's all.

What part of marking confidence do you not understand?
You do not have to be in a contest to lack confidence and just double fist it.

Yep, that is the defenders one wood in a contest unless intercepting.

How many times do you see a defender going for a mark instead and get badly beaten.
