What Iāve been told from someone who knows a fair bit with whatās going on at the lions. He believes he may be up for trade. Everyone else has long term contracts. Especially if they look to add more f/a this year. Please for the love of everything holy... Throw this man some money as a RFA next year.

Have heard similar. Lions think he's gone in FA next year and would like to try and cash in early for a higher returnWhat Iāve been told from someone who knows a fair bit with whatās going on at the lions. This bloke did tell me about Oscar Allen to Brisbane august last year.
Lions prepared to move him this year for the right price.Have heard similar. Lions think he's gone in FA next year and would like to try and cash in early for a higher return

Bergman, Florent and Bailey... What a dream it would be...Lions prepared to move him this year for the right price.
I'm okay with thatBergman, Florent and Bailey... What a dream it would be...
Unfortunately would need to move some serious names to get anywhere near that sort of haul
Allen is a strange one, go to Brisbane to play CHB surely, Morris is a gun, youāre not replacing him. Bailey would be a great getWhat Iāve been told from someone who knows a fair bit with whatās going on at the lions. He believes he may be up for trade. Everyone else has long term contracts. He'll replace Day. If they move on a player like Bailey and bring in Allen they'll back that Ah Chee, Lohmann, Cameron and youngsters like McLachlan will cover the loss at ground level.Allen is a strange one, go to Brisbane to play CHB surely, Morris is a gun, youāre not replacing him. You will need to give up much more than pick 18 for BergmanRate them.
Bergman. Pick 18
Florent. 26
Bailey. 14
Getting all three is unrealistic but getting two would be achievable.
They had Allen wrapped up for this year thinking Joey would be playing his last season this year. Logan coming on is an extra bonusAllen is a strange one, go to Brisbane to play CHB surely, Morris is a gun, youāre not replacing him. Bailey would be a great get
It staggers me that a player who has never averaged more than 18 possessions a game and has never finished higher than 7th in his clubs B&F would command much higher. I can see see 14-16 being ok, I donāt think heās worth more than that. You will need to give up much more than pick 18 for Bergman
As JJ said, Bergman will cost a lot more than pick 18. He's developing into genuine star in that midfield role. Next few years I'd imagine he's going to really explode and start being that 25-30 touch mid who can push forward and impact.Rate them.

Pull the pin then. I thought he would go there and theyād trade Morris and get good picks, bus spending heaps on Allen reminds me a little of when they got the Adelaide free agent and heās barely played a match. Spend the money elsewhereThey had Allen wrapped up for this year thinking Joey would be playing his last season this year. Logan coming on is an extra bonus
It's a weak, highly comprimised draft. Pick 18 will end up being around 30. He was a pick 14, and is having a breakout year. You pay for potential, rather than for what they've done already as wellIt staggers me that a player who has never averaged more than 18 possessions a game and has never finished higher than 7th in his clubs B&F would command much higher. Ok based on us getting pick 8 as compo for TDK. Trade 8 down to 12-13 in exchange for a pick around 24.As JJ said, Bergman will cost a lot more than pick 18. In terms of ability - Bergman, Bailey, Florent.
In terms of actual possibility of happening - Florent, Bergman, Bailey
Not that I know of, goes to 2029 though.Isn't Florent's contract absurd?
I would imagine Port would be asking us for our TDK pick and in all honesty I'd hand it over for Bergman in this draft. Sounds like considerable overs but I really don't rate this draft at all so personally I'd be fine paying that.Ok based on us getting pick 8 as compo for TDK. 13 For Bergman and 24 for Florent.
24 is possibly too high for Florent if heās not being picked and his contract is bad.
Admittedly I havenāt seen much of him this year but 18 touches a game doesnāt scream break out year to me, 18 might be not enough but I donāt think Iād be happy if we paid more than pick 12It's a weak, highly comprimised draft. I think it was the length I must have been thinking of. Could easily get a discount if they want him off the booksNot that I know of, goes to 2029 though.
Cox doesn't seem to have him in their best team so having a player on a good contract playing 2s until 2029 is a minor disaster. They'll likely move him on for cheap if he remains in the twos for parts of the year.
He's high impact. Great drive, and is a very good user. You notice every time he gets the ballAdmittedly I havenāt seen much of him this year but 18 touches a game doesnāt scream break out year to me, 18 might be not enough but I donāt think Iād be happy if we paid more than pick 12
We canāt keep paying overs for players and complaing years down the track that we donāt have good kids or depth. Constantly overpaying for players with picks and $ will bite you down the track.I would imagine Port would be asking us for pick 8 and in all honesty I'd hand it over for Bergman in this draft. Sounds like considerable overs but I really don't rate this draft at all so personally I'd be fine paying that.
Florent offer them up a future 2nd, they're in no position to ask for overs if he's stuck playing twos half the year.
It depends how pick 8 is valued this year. Riley Beveridge said today that Jagga Smith would've been pick 1 by a long way in this draftWe canāt keep paying overs for players and complaing years down the track that we donāt have good kids or depth. Constantly overpaying for players with picks and $ will bite you down the track.
Weāve mentioned Dawson, Smith and others the past few weeks, if other clubs can get deals done cheaply, then we can too and if we canāt, then thereās something wrong.
If Bergman nominates us, thereās no need to pay overs. If 8s on the table, thatās ok but Iād be expecting a bit back
