Just when you think there is light at the end of the tunnel, something worse than bad results comes along to f**k it all up and ruin lives. I’m genuinely torn up about how to feel going into tonight. Obviously it isn’t the other 10 guys’ fault that this has happened, assuming it has. And even the person himself is entitled to blah blah blah but it’s all very damning and having watched some other videos I don’t think there is much likelihood if due process is followed (can’t speak for the legal system in Guyana) that this will go away or that he will escape punishment. I hope there is justice for the alleged victims - I wish it was just a story but that’s incredibly unlikely.

I’m just f**king shattered

Yeah shit situation. I’d say just hope for the best for alleged victims and things get dealt with appropriately. Until then try to enjoy the cricket.

I don’t know 🤷

It’s about all we can do I guess.

It’s hard to support a team but watch a guy bowl and think ā€˜do I want him to take a wicket or not’

"When contacted by SportsMax TV, CWI’s official statement read, ā€œCricket West Indies is unaware of the circumstances and, therefore, is not in a position to comment at this time.ā€

That is all I could find about West Indies cricket response so far.

The second test is only a few days away. Surely thy're not going to play him?

11 women!? He's done.

Yep. Makes it hardly likely to just be a ā€˜misunderstanding’ does it.

He’s in a lot of trouble I daresay and it’s pretty heavy stuff.

Really don’t know what’s going to happen going forward, it doesn’t appear that anything formal as happened so they aren’t obliged as such to stand him down but it’s pretty tone deaf not to

One of them allegedly involved his cousin who was 15 at the time (he would've been 23).

Do laws regarding minors come into it or does Guyana have one of those ridiculous things where the age of consent is like 14?

This sucks man an exciting young cricketer for a team that desperately needs emerging stars to get back where they should be and it appears he's a monster.

I feel pathetic thinking of their cricket plight instead of the victims tbh.

Had the same thought. Light at the end of the tunnel, then this blow for the cricket organisation… but nothing compared to what it all means for them.

Just a f**ked scenario first and foremost obviously for the poor women at the heart of it and, less so for the people who had been inspired by him and begun to believe in him as a sort of ā€˜face of the future’ who are all a bit betrayed atm

Beating West Indies should never be used as a basis to talk up associate cricket.

West Indies are a full member nostalgia act and an associate side in all but name.

Just looked it up.

6/173 to all out 83.
It wasn't just a beating, it was a smashing.

Stuart Law , former QLDer and Australian national is cooking something with Nepal.

Nepal beat West Indies in all aspects: batting, bowling and fielding in the 2nd T20I. First series win over a ICC full member nation.

And people will bring up the fact that West Indies didn't have their best players. You would still say a 3rd string Australian team would beat this Nepal. Thats how far West Indies cricket has fallen.

This is a former 2 x T20I World Cup champion, a 2 x ODI World Cup Champion.

In next years World Cup, dont expect or be confident them to beat the likes of Italy no more.

Of course they would, that’s what makes bigger cricket nations bigger cricket nations. Even when NZ was, either anecdotally or statistically the world champion test team, how competitive do you think their second or third XI would be?

This is embarrassing make no mistake and most of our fans are pretty livid about it, but we have a test squad preparing in India - which has already lost 2 of its 3 star bowlers to injury, and most of the remaining first choice T20 players weren’t picked anyway. Holder and Hossain were the only two that would be picked normally in a full strength team, possibly Carty, it was basically a development tour for most of them with a couple of familiar names like Mayers and Allen thrown in who haven’t been around the national team for ages.

This result - maybe the magnitude of it but not the result - comes as no surprise to me at all

Kiwi third team would destroy Nepal. Any of their first class teams would.

I will give Kudos to the West Indies cricket administration board. Not many full member nations are willing to give contests with associate countries. But what is clear from this series, if you come unprepared, with an inexperienced lineup - you will get found out.
