I have zero idea how either Bolton or Voss have escaped any sanction at all.

I think we need to drop Amiss now.

Shame about Fyfe - honestly think we should tap him on the shoulder to retire. If he can't make it through a warm up we can't afford to carry him into games for the rest of the year or finals.

That's fair but none of your examples are 19 and close to 200cm.

How many 19 year old key forwards play in prelims?
What about Tauru as a precedent? Although a defender that is 18 and 198cm and was
Would prefer Narkle to Aish, he has a bit more x factor.

Agree, he played well for Peel.

Here is a conversation starter - is Narkle in better form than Dudley?

He won’t be. He’s not doing bad it’s just that he’s a different player to Treacy.
Back him in. The kicking inside 50 is still an issue.
Just don’t see how a mediocre midfield of Brodie and JOM for Peel would help the delivery and his ability to improve.

Bolton was never getting anything. The action was barely there if at all and neither was the outcome.

Voss was worse but was 50/50 at best whether he got fined IMO. The outcome meant fine was the worst possible result.

He's trying to take chest marks more often than not which allows his opponent a greater opportunity to spoil.

Treacy is taking the ball out in front.

It's a confidence issue for Amiss. He's taller and a better athlete than Treacy - extend his arms a bit more and approach the contest with more conviction and he'll take a few more grabs.

Think you're being harsh on JOM as well btw. He's an about average kick at AFL level at worst. He'll look like a rolls royce in the WAFL after a couple of weeks if not straight away.

Is Amiss carrying something? He's in the hat a bit at training and looks like he's lacking a yard. Maybe just confidence.

Delivery to him can be an issue but there's also plenty of examples where he seems reluctant to lead at the ball carrier.

Ok, so Sharp, Walker, Narkle, Aish, Pearce are the most likely to be considered as ins.

I would say if Pearce is right, he will be in for OMac.
Aish in for Fyfe ?
Walker in ?
Narkle for a bit of run ?

Otherwise no other changes.

If Walker is ready to go then Banfield comes out. No need to over complicate things. Walker has a very specific skillset which no one else on the team has. If we need him to come in, then the part time defender will be the one to make way.

Banfield is a left foot exit for our defense. Unique in our backline and a nice point of difference. I thought he’s been quite good.

I think a run in the WAFL and kicking a bag at a lower level would do Amiss a world of good, hes so severely lacking in confidence.
With Voss available and playing well, and even Omac a handy swing man, we have alternatives in that forward line, particularly if you’re also playing the dual rucks.

In relation to Amiss, yes he is lacking in confidence, but is a major link in a 3 man tall forward rotation. As mentioned earlier, is trying to take chest marks, needs to take the marks out in front.

In this tall forward rotation, if one of the players gets off the leash each week, the others may be doing a good job, by drawing defenders away.

I’d actually bring sharp in to do a tagging job on gulden. Fit enough and has a defensive mind. Mj too slow and nod too attacking

Darcy destroyed Grundy last year so even if the ground is horrible keep him in

Maybe drop Voss for switta and play a bit smaller depending on weather if it’s dry drop duds to sub

I’ve now come to agreement with what Docker82 has said and I’ve mentioned it in another thread. Whilst Amiss is playing his part in a forward line structure he is well down on confidence. The flying Viking loved that Amiss was trying to take chest marks. I used to use Amiss as an example of what Voss needed to do. On the lead he is slowing down at end point and also trying to take chest marks. A few weeks at Peel practicing his craft would do him world of good. It’s not getting better at AFL level.
