And non aholes.

Maybe we need an oppressive societal / economic model that doesn't allow anyone to succeed, keep everyone safe.

China and Russia look nice.

Well China have invaded less countries and have less school shootings compared to the capital of capitalism - USA.
For example.

Well the united states is no longer united and is no longer a democracy.

So how about you go live in China and report back to us how awesome it is.

Right wing young males probs wouldn't like it. In fact I don't think anyone would, unless you're Xi.

You wouldn't like to live in China, so there's no point criticising capitalism.

Is life really that simple?

What's sad about his view that there will be winners and losers?
It's a very Trumping view of the world. It sounds like he's just mindlessly regurgitated something he's heard on Fox after dark, without a moments critical thought. As far right wingers centrists do.

Sure some people 'win' at the expense of others. Crooks, fraudsters, Gina Rhineheart etc. but in my experience, most success is built on cooperation and win/win.

I think the world must be a very lonely place for people who believe that they can only get on in life and 'succeed' at the expense of others. Sounds sociopathic to me.

You think forcing women to stay home to raise kids is a centrist position?
I long for the good old days when a parent was able to stay home to raise the kids and I would have been more than happy to take one for the team and let my wife work while I stayed home with the kids.

There's plenty they could do to help parents without forcing women out of the workforce. Start with parental leave being more like the Scandinavian countries, with 12 months at least, with at least 3 must be taken by the father. Allow husbands/wifes to split income (for tax purposes) if they've kids under school age and one is only working less than 20 hours a week. Stop trying to ****ing force people back to offices. WFH is great for parents. No need for as much childcare if you don't have to rush off to the office and drop them at baby farms. And once they've reached school age, WFH allows you to take the 10-30 minutes out for the school runs, then back to work.

This is a very simplistic one dimensional view, see below
most success is built on cooperation and win/win.
And no one on here is suggesting otherwise.

Correct. Again no one on here is suggesting that success ONLY comes at the expense of others.

Sometime that DOES happen, certainly where competition is involved. That doesn't make acknowledging this 'sad' or 'right wingy' or 'sociopathic'

Quite hyperbolic from your good self Grin.

Many corporations are pushing back against wfh.

Not at all the question I asked but good to know

Its amazing. 400 work days to split at 80% of your salary, with a lot of jobs topping up the last bit makes that part of ones life infinitely easier. There used to be some bonus if the days were split evenly, but we missed that.

That would have given you plenty of time to finish your Andrew Tate Hustlers University course.

Unfortunate fact of life CB.

Life

IS

a

Competition. Full stop.

There WILL be winners and there WILL be losers.

^Fact.
The longer you live, you sooner or later realise that you are both a winner and a loser.
It's called life.
If you're lucky enough, then the competition is called a marathon.
I pity those however whose competition in life was just a sprint.
