I think Brisbane have had the best list for 4 years now and gets better every year.

They really should be flag favourites.

Challenging run home for them but what an outfit when they get focused.

They play Dogs, Suns, Pies and Hawks and Dockers in Perth.

I reckon I’ll watch all of them just to see what they’re capable of.
I hope they bury the Pies.

Carroll made some mistakes tonight but he also did some pretty good things.

Development is not linear but I do think we have some decent young players for the next generation.

10+ new players this year is a record I think?
Carrol can be a player for us - just not sure it is as a backman. He really should have his peripheral vision checked as that first sack was by a guy barely to his left.

Motlop has really turned a corner

My fear for Mots is that he's taken on a lot of the bad attitudes from the older players in the team. A lot of his efforts are half efforts, inconsistent.

Has more ability than what many here will give him credit for but needs to pull his finger out if he wants to be a long term Carlton footballer or an AFL player as a whole.

I think we should bring in Levi Casboult as a Goal Kicking coach.

Their problem is keeping focus.

Hope they tear Oldiewood a new one.

We've had 17 quarters this year where we've kicked 0 or 1 goals.

Average of 1 quarter a match.

10 consecutive matches where it's occurred.

Summarises how insipid this club has become.

Back the youth in for the remainder of the year - there is literally nothing else to salvage at this point.
We wont win another game regardless.
We don't even have attendances to protect.
Set us up for some future success And solely focus on playing the kids.

Motlop is a midfielder who can push forward. Whether he’s good enough to do that at AFL level is debatable, but that’s his go. He is not a small forward.

Yep. Same with Durdin- he's a midfielder in a small forwards body. And that's what I take issue with.. our recruitment of small forwards has been terrible. We've turned it into a numbers game rather than just drafting a natural one. Draft or trade for a genuine and natural small forward or two. Those two are our best that we have to keep but they aren't natural small forwards.

Fogarty I've seen enough. Can't be keeping a guy who's just a defensive 'small forward' who can't kick goals from 15 metres out. Evans won't survive the cull. White probably likewise. Fantasia too injury prone. We have to keep Mots and Durdin but boy oh boy are we still crying out for a natural, classy, zippy, well skilled small forward who gets front and centre at the ball drop and hits the pack at speed.

More of the same. Expected nothing more or less. Counting down the days until August 15. HOF and Cowan both good. Not much else to write home about.

Has not got the work ethic for it. He still chooses whether he wants to chase that opposition player that just ran past him - he then appears to do a lot of chasing because he did not chase hard after that first runner
