I thought the pressure and intensity of the first half and the team work was arguably our best footy. Doesn't excuse the second half at all, just so odd it went to complete headless chook stuff.

The relish with which some stick the boot into a club and players they claim so support is so bizarre.
I don't mean people blowing up about our second half performance. I mean those who are nowhere to be found after a win but crawl our of the woodwork on a night like tonight and make sweeping statements about all and sundry being completely hopeless, not caring, with no chance of competing ever again. The monday morning quarterbacks who just play the results and make themselves out to be geniuses through hindsight.

There was some positives
1. Buller was huge yes went in and out a bit but the talent is there.
2. Hayward easily our best not even close
3. Grundy another great performance
Negatives
1. Whoever was on Callaghan dead set
2. I know he did 1-2 okay things but what was the point in Francis no surprise Dattoli was good in the VFL

I full on admit I thought GWS would beat us tonight, and I was very pleasantly surprised on our first half.
I did not see that 2nd half coming. Did not help Giants kicking it from level 9 of the grandstand and everywhere else over the ground.
Wasn't happy with Chad's game, thought JJ had a poor one from what I saw. Maybe I'm wrong and it showed up differently on tv.

Francis was pretty good when we were good . Can't really single him out playing mostly forward in the second half.
I mean you said Hayward easily our best--- 3 touches in the second half.
Francis was also forward so why isn't he getting the same pass.
He fumbled a few marks but he ran hard,
bump led to a goal for Heeney. Not saying he was a star but he performed a role at least when we were going
That was brutal. Easier draw next year and a higher draft pick helps ease the pain

Callaghan just seemed unstoppable in the second half , not sure what you could do other than try to bulldoze him, that acceleration was awesome

Pretty good? He has 10 useless possessions let’s be real here. Sure he laid one good Shephard but honestly what the point? Hopefully the last we see of him. Play the kids.
Hayward was quieter the second half but what do you expect with the mids being towelled up?

Its the manner in which we lost was all a familiar tale with this group.
I thought we would lose against a full strength GWS side but i would of rather we trialed all game by 5-6 goals than to fold and give up 73 points in a row..
I dont think losses like these do any good at all.

He wasn't playing in the centre , he had 10 possies playing as a role player up forward
Buller and Hayward had it 10 and 9 but you single them out for praise. I am not saying they weren't better than Francis but your acting like he should have had it 25-30
times. At least he presented and marked, again Buller took 1 , Francis took 4.
Tony Lockett would have gone **** all tonight in that forward line
