I just don’t believe that everything we heard last week was a coordinated troll job or that people lied and it coincidently was all similar.

You don’t think that it’s in the clubs best interests to continue with the message that all is well and he’s signing imminently?

Sort of like what we heard about battle all year until we didn’t?

I’ve known plenty in the inner sanctums of footy clubs at all levels, what gets “leaked” is always what the club wants as the message and journos openly admit that (as well as admitting player managers do the same thing for their clients).

I got no idea either way with Nas, just like everyone else at this point.

1. Saints like all clubs can stuff up draft picks AND
2. The system that rewards multiple shots at those draft picks for fck all given up has helped in keeping us mediocre
They are the facts. My point (which you being dim) is it’s not 1 of those things in isolation.

The way the other guys at the club talk about him. It’s me reading between the lines a little but, I remember a day in the life video with Windy and Chito. In the gym they were joking about how incredible his (Naz’s) bench press record is. They carry on as though they just know he’s another level.

I think it’s a lesson aswell in judging guys from the outside. Early days , people thought Naz was a shy introverted indigenous kid from SA. From everything we’ve seen so far his determination and underlying confidence is off the charts.

Props need to go to the coaches for his development as well.

His motivation probably is to be around family but it's funny how many players end up staying for more money and especially if the side looks on a solid trajectory. We just need to get him to sign no matter what. We can worry about the next contract when ever it comes up.
