DreamingNoah Anderson having a seriously good game. Current contract ends end of 2027.
Max King and a first round pick for Noah Anderson?
We had exclusive access after pick 20 with those two, we were praying mitchy would get past 20. But yes obvs teams had a chance for first round. Ross is right. First round should be clean and then idgaf if it's crazy after that. You are so off here it’s not funny. The issue with academy is regarding the exclusive access. We never had exclusive access to Windy or Owens. Any team could have taken them.
Furthermore having FS’s and academies allows you to make draft mistakes because you can offset those guys.
Lastly, I love when people criticise our drafting over the prior 15 years, but don’t acknowledge that we’ve replaced our recruiter. Like what do you suppose we do.
You were trolling and waffling on with some crap about how Sydney playing okay somehow meant we are not shit. Why?
Swans did look good ….GWS just went a level better …doesn’t change our efforts against a very good Swans outfit???
You talk too much shit (and not much footy I notice) ….that may be closer to the mark??

Every single club could have taken Owens or Windhager with many passing twice. How is that a benefit? They do and they don't. We have benefited from NGA in Owens and Windhager and also look like benefiting from Fincher this coming draft as he looks a talent. Yes father sons we haven't, but if we done our part and drafted accordingly, we wouldn't be crying about it every single week. I think everyone agrees that the system is broken in some way shape or form, however mentioning it in every press conference pre or post game is just getting tiresome. For a coach who loves to trot out the line of we focus on what we can control, he sure as hell loves to focus on everything thats out of his control.
Our decline in structure and kicking skills are imo more of a priority that he should be worried about, as he will soon find himself out of a job.
Hence why we went out and head hunted Dalrymple. We have a problem when it comes to key position players at both ends of the ground and im watching our very own 198cm Oscar Adams who we thought was usless and delisted him play for GC currently.
We blame academies, draft quality and everything else under the sun in every press conference. Someone might want to tell the President and the coach about what is happening internally with the way we have wasted numerous top 18 draft picks while every club around us has drafted elite level talent. Since 2014 until 2021, we hang out hat on Max Hall yet get blind sided by players who should be at their absolute peak right now in McCartin, Billings, Dunstan, Acres, Gresham, Coffield, Clark can also add in King (Rozee, B.King, Smith and Butters all top 12 picks after Max) thus far that have been a failure. We have hit only 1 elite player in Nas with years of not only top 18 picks but either top 5 or top 10.
I can't think of a club who has a worse strike rate than us when it comes to recruiting top 18 picks since 2014.
This is spot on. Just cos we make mistakes or may lose players, doesn't mean there isn't a rort. Caroline Wilson saying it's a PR disaster if we lose Nas because we've been complaining about academies all year. It's got bloody nothing to do with each other. All clubs make mistakes. We aren't saying that drafting billings over bont didn't hurt us, but gold Coast have had swings and misses too but no one mentions that cos they get kissed on the c*** by the afl and the misses aren't as crucial. I'm glad we're speaking up cos if no one does, this will continue for years and it causes 15 years of unfairness as that's a players career span.Hence why we went out and head hunted Dalrymple.
So think the club is well aware and it I no way changes the clubs campaign against the rort that is academies .
Guaranteed other southern clubs with the exception of bulldogs and magpies are absolutely loving the fact that stKilda is flying the flag and starting conversations about it as they sit back like timid ****s and say nothing. Other supporters who follow ess Carlton etc and call the saints whingers are so naive it’s not funny. This is spot on. Just cos we make mistakes or may lose players, doesn't mean there isn't a rort. But that’s the point right isn’t it? Exclusive access to the best talent is the issue. We had exclusive access after pick 20 with those two, we were praying mitchy would get past 20. But yes obvs teams had a chance for first round. Ross is right. First round should be clean and then idgaf if it's crazy after that.
Definitely. Chris Scott has joined. Haven't heard any go after him calling him a whinger. We were first to call out the afl for its bs biase for making the northern clubs stronger to grow the game at the expense of southern clubs and we're the only whingers?Guaranteed other southern clubs with the exception of bulldogs and magpies are absolutely loving the fact that stKilda is flying the flag and starting conversations about it as they sit back like timid ****s and say nothing. Carlton are Firmly against any changes to the fs rule. Probably because they get the number one pick next yearGuaranteed other southern clubs with the exception of bulldogs and magpies are absolutely loving the fact that stKilda is flying the flag and starting conversations about it as they sit back like timid ****s and say nothing. Yep sorry, was agreeing with u if it wasn't clearBut that’s the point right isn’t it? Exclusive access to the best talent is the issue.

The purpose of this draft is for these guys to the worst teams. Not teams challenging for top 4 or who have just won the premiership. It defies any kind of logic.
And guarantee they will flip the year after that lmaoCarlton are Firmly against any changes to the fs rule. Probably because they get the number one pick next year
Yes I know you're his number one fan boy
TBH Brainstrust blokes wearing viking caps don't instill me with confidence, if you want to follow him around like a puppy good for youThe guy has a track record which is better than anyone on here. If I'm wrong on that, please tell me.
Then draft Barratt who is a massive project. Definitely a bit odd list management with the KPDs although Clav and Van Es haven't found their way back to AFL, yet.
And Damian Carroll.Hence why we went out and head hunted Dalrymple.
So think the club is well aware and it I no way changes the clubs campaign against the rort that is academies .
Every single club could have taken Owens or Windhager with many passing twice. How is that a benefit?
F/S is,an absolute rort and both need to be called out as such.
Now other clubs are getting on board

He went into quarantine for 2 weeks up in the GC in 2020 and then spent a couple of months in SA watching SANFL and juniors.Toce was absolutely elite. Sadly it ended up fortuitous timing but it looks like his legacy at the Tigers will be one of the all-time great hauls. The great man was our best since Bevo Snr.
You were trolling and waffling on with some crap about how Sydney playing okay somehow meant we are not shit.
We are 5-13 and the only side to lose to West Coast all year bud… but keep spanking about how Ross has us humming in your imagination.

And Damian Carroll.
While our drafting cops criticism, it was our development that was truly the issue.

From that I can confidently say we got NAZ, Pou, Sharman, probably Keeler.
Dontvknow if he was involved with Wilkie in 2019.
