This West Indies would struggle to pinch 10+ games , if they were to play Australia 100 times.

I dont understand the obsession with the Big Bash in recruiting players from the West Indies playing in the league, the players have too largely underperformed. Names that ring a bell: Spice Man, Shai Hope, Rutherford, Fabian Allen to name a few.
The days of West Indies batsman outmuscling their international counterparts are long gone. I listened to the Caribbean Cricket Podcast, and they mentioned this team would do well, and I repeat do well to qualify out of the group stages . Thats where West Indies cricket is at. And dare I say no- team internationally fears them anymore.
Dont think an 8-0 series whitewash does any good for getting Australia back here for tours in future. The West Indies are only getting these games because of their name , and past reputation. It is worth bearing in mind, for all that I’ve just said about how brainless their batting can be, and generally is, that for the most part their batting has still been ok this series. The grounds are small but their scores have still been competitive. A far bigger issue has been the bowling.
There has also been talk around players like Rutherford, Powell potentially leaving the T20 international circuit and following Poorans footsteps.
I genuinely don't see any chemistry and there has been suggestions of divisiveness in the comp. I know they have been on the losing end, but there hasn't been smiles and/or laughter when the team have gathered.

Im not going to look too much at that . I watch a heap of the Caribbean Premier League and Its the first time Im going to say, even that league isn't a good prep for West Indies national cricket. For a team hosting a World Cup in that part of the world, the West Indies were expected to do well or go as far as they did. What it probably does tell me is the CPL is about 2 tiers below the IPL, and a tier below the BBL/SA20/Hundred.Of course it doesn’t help however it’s a year since they were 3 wickets from a World Cup semi final, losing that match to the team who ultimately should have won the thing before one of the biggest meltdowns in white ball cricket history.
Damnit Inglis
Perth Scorchers would love to have big Tim David back in the orange.
He does feel like the one that got away.
He looks like man that is reinvigorated after winning the BBL with Hobart. Playing with free will and no pressure. Huge difference to when he was playing under pressure.Barely done anything in the domestic bbl. Most of his performances have been in the IPL

The reality is, maybe alot of these players are getting into their own bubble before stepping into the international scene.
Also T20 cricket is much more even across the globe these days. The West Indies weakness is playing spin bowling and actually picking off-pacers/knuckle balls/ pace-off deliveries from the likes of a Nathan Ellis- calibre player. Speaking of Ellis, Bumrah is also another bowler that has tended to bowl well against them in the past in this form.
The world has caught up with the West Indies after they remain one of only two sides to have won multiple T20 World Cups.
PS: As I speak I may end up with egg in my face as Australia are 3 down in the powerplay.
And he's out, so dumb can we not be dumb for an over or two
To think in about 2 weeks time most of these Aussie players will be on our shores playing a T20 series again......against South Africa.
