Because we’re not seen as a successful club.

If you wasn’t a saints supporter and you had the option to choose between a successful club and us what would you choose?
If I was changing clubs I'd chase the money.

Its good to know that its not actually true that Butters doesn't want to join us. Just supporters assuming noone wants to dance with the loser sitting in the corner by himself.

Grew up a dogs fan (obviously means little) heavily courted by the hawks.

Other than cash there’s really no pull to the saints.

Can we please stop suggesting that Butters would be involved in a hypothetical trade for Nas

Zak Butters does not want to play for St Kilda
Butters doesn’t need to end up at St Kilda as part of the trade.

It’ll be an unprecedented trade involving a club that doesn’t exist yet where:
  • Butters and Nas end up at Geelong
  • Port get get Geelong’s third rounder
  • St Kilda get pick 72 and the Tassie Devils’s 2047 11th rounder.

In an unbelievable twist of fate, Nas and Butters are perennially injured over the next 10 seasons, Geelong are banned from the AFL for salary cap rorts and we list Tex Wanganeen who goes on to become a triple Brownlow medal winning Premiership captain at St Kilda.

It was all looking quite st Kilda, then ruined it when you had us winning.

Nas tried to tell me about his plans in the sauna this morning but I was worried people on here wouldn’t believe me so I stuck my fingers in my ears, squeezed my eyes shut, and screamed “LA LA LA” until he was gone
I bumped into him on the way out and he told me everything but said 'don't say anything to those nuffies on Bigfooty'.
Sorry guys my lips are sealed.

If people can't see whats happening. Theyre gonna need a huge duck of neon sign.
Imagine if Port did get him which they won’t. They’ll be paying $2,000,000 of their salary cap to one player plus destroying their drafting for the next two years plus lose a decent player plus lose Butters next year. They’re ****ed big time.
We will be saving them from themselves.

This situation very different to Battle, however looking at body language, cradling a mates kid, him saying ' 'manager and club is sorting it out', means nothing and is just cope.

Fact is nobody knows, no leaks from clubland, journo's guessing, as are we.

One thing is certain. He currently is still unsigned for next season.
What are you on about!?!?!?

Go back and look at the carry on with battle in the rooms with his kids and his team mates bringing in their kids in membrey and Jones.

Personally I think the reason we’re being told that he still hasn’t made a decision is due to him being fearful of how disappointed the club (and its fans) will be when he tells them he has decided to leave. His manager has him well trained on how to answer questions about his future and Nas himself has managed this particularly well. This saga has dragged on far too long and the fact that he still hasn’t agreed to a new deal despite the club presenting its final offer to him last week doesn’t sound good. I just prey that we don’t get screwed in any trade….but then again, we’re St.Kilda.

Think two first rounders for nas gets it done

Mate im glad youre not doing any negotiations on my behalf.

Thats an absolute rort. Given the first round can be very ducking late like pick 20s in absolutely horrible shallow drafts. When the draft picks market is about to be inflated again with more future trading.

Youre looking at 2 top 5 picks and a player or later first rounder minimum

whatever ‘kymbo and rooch’ are suggesting that the advice nas will/has received is to leave st kilda. Isn’t this just referring to his families desire for him to come home? Been an ever present factor, one that has probably been the most difficult for nas to deal with in his decision making.

Port (President or CEO or whoever) did them a huge disservice by saying Butters is staying put.

I don't really want to engage in the Butters v. NAS value debate, but Butters would be the starting point and is what we need as a top tier mid. Taking him off the table just shows they are not serious; there's no way they can put together a package of picks that would satisfy.

If he goes then I think some kind of come-from-the-clouds deal with Adelaide is more likely.
Why?

Theyre trying to build a premiership list which means retaining the good parts of the list and bringing in players to help that.

They will want to retain butters and get nas.

Theyre about to try and **** us and get nas for picks in shit drafts and hold butters.

We should be holding nas but instead we've tried to be all conservative with the cap and shy with money whilst we let the likes of tdk help him self.
