Long clear best on in the WAFL. Dewar’s numbers pop thanks to an incredible number of kick ins, but he showed a lot of good intent late both defensively and to spark some attacks.

Maric out injured might be the only other one. If so, give Champion a run and make some weird shit happen.

Bailey rucks well against English, very similar dominance to against Gawn at the centre bounce. Bulldogs are a tall side. No Edwards still, maybe start Flynn at CHB on Darcy at the bounce then go from there. Flynn plays his best football a kick behind the play, and Ginbeast aint beating Darcy I don't care how much McWalter thinks he's unbeatable. Some kind of Bailey runs forward Flynn picks up Darcy but sometimes switches to run with English. Maybe Reid plays on Darcy. Duggan is gonesky give Luca some goddam respect and debut him. Long to play the Owies role. Hamish Davies to sub. Cole out purely as an experiment to see how many fewer goals from free's and turnovers we have from him and Duggan being out.

Doubt Owies goes out. Mini would have been fellating himself that Gross was unsighted to sub Owies in - was an early sub too which is unlike him. I guess it’s only the kids that get 4 mins in the last quarter? Owies gets a quarter and a half.

Gross gets given a shit role. If he works hard in the gym and on his tank over summer there’s no reason he can’t play midfield minutes.

Gross had 19CBA's in his debut game vs GWS in round 4.

20CBA's the following week vs the Blues in round 5.

What an absolute shock horror these were the best 2 games of his career by the length of the Flemington. Since then McQualter refuses to give him a proper opportunity as a midfielder.

Instead he gets the last 5 mins of a game as the sub, or chucked on the gimp flank where he clearly isn't feeling it. Right now we're just wasting him and his development.

In the WAFL he plays pure mid and plays it well. If you won't play him there at AFL level, even for small periods, put him back to the WAFL so he can at least develop as a mid there.

If you watch the replay watch how timidly he attacks the ball in dispute. Same with pressure in the L back flank 1 vs 1.

There was one instance in the pocket where Davis just gave up and didn't apply pressure to a player which set up a mark inside 50.

But then he also went and put his head over it at other times, so yeah. Bit timid, and runs on his tiptoes which low key annoys me....

But 13D, 7 Tackles, 2 clearances and a goal isn't awful. Best game of his young career. In fact those are similar numbers to what first round pick 4th year Campbell's soup put up on the other wing.

Genuinely expect when the vote count thing gets tallied I will be one of Hall’s biggest vote getters. Has gone up a gear in a big way.

Jobe is clearly a smooth, float in the air lead/jump at the footy kind of forward. He's not a gorilla. Exacerbated by him being 18 as well. Any wrestle vs Keane he'd lose.

That's why old mate from the other coast would compliment the team well IMO.

Gross is an inside mid, where he is getting no exposure. Not sure you can say he isnt AFL level off that.
Bailey was terrible at WAFL level on the weekend. The stats are pretty misleading. Tapped to the opposition pretty consistently and dropped just about every ball that came to him, including a few easy chest marks that should have led to goals and probably cost us the game.

Not sure about Newtons broken hand but think his tackling pressure would be ideal here. If Newton cant go lets give Champion a go

I think Gross at HF is a no go for sure. Get him in the middle at WAFL level to finish the season off

You'd think it's season over for dugan if the afl is consistent. If grego doesn't get a debut idk what they're thinking. Wouldn't mind seeing newton in. We all know what long will deliver may as well reward some decent form the last couple weeks. Owies been dreadful all season, I'll own up to it I thought he'd be a good inclusion never seen a player perform so poorly at a new club when they had previous good performance. Agree that Livingstone could be a good inclusion as second ruck over reid. Knows how to kick a goal and is a handy mark up the ground (we are seriously lacking a high roaming tall who takes contested marks)

Unfortunately don’t think there is much in it. If anything it is the secondary contact from Baker that Thilthorpe appears to react to.
