Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
Yep, if the senario unfolds where hypothetically curnow goes and we get picks. I’d be bundling those up and going at a butters or big name target for sure.(that fills a need for us)TDK Compo pick and Curnow Draft Picks from Swans for Butters. Can we do it and should we try to do it?
Sydney don't have two first round picks for a start, and at best a pick 11 or 12 in this draft is hardly inspiring.TDK is gone. We all know that. We get a first-round pick (10) for him.
JSOS looks like he's gone as well. We'll hopefully get a second rounder for him.
Personally, I'm on the 'trade Curnow' bandwagon. If it nets us 2 x 1sts from Sydney or whomever, and we can then use those picks (plus the TDK and JSOS picks) to add a pacy outside mid (who can kick) or two and a small forward, I'd be pretty happy.

You would never knock back a player like Butters, however I just dont think our main needs are in our midfield. If we were going to spend the 1.5-2mil it would take to acquire Butters, I would prefer to spread it over areas of need like running half back & small forwards.TDK Compo pick and Curnow Draft Picks from Swans for Butters. Can we do it and should we try to do it?
Nope. The AFL will give us no favors. Cant even pull the mental health card as a clubAbsolutely wishful thinking here, can compensation for multiple players lost due to free agency in one season be cumulative?
TDK's deal is probably going to be far and above anything that has been compensated before, so is there any chance the 'leftover' value of that is added to the Silvagni compo?
He's already contracted for 2026Hoping Elijah Hollands gets a 1 year deal.
Final chance have a big preseason and show us what you are capable of!

It would be awesome. But the AFL has some kinda makey uppy rule that won't allow that, surely... Speaking of makey uppy rules. Is there a chance that our TDK compensation could be higher... given a contract has never been this long or this high before? I have no idea how the compensation value is calculated.Absolutely wishful thinking here, can compensation for multiple players lost due to free agency in one season be cumulative?

That Stephen May bump must have aligned the forces of the universe. 2 goals in 6 games up to that point (highest SC points 56). 11 goals in 4 games afterwards (averaging around 100SC points). If they don’t sign Evans there’s no place on earth the list management team will be safe.
So a gun young ruckman and a Coleman medalist for 1 good mid yeah nah I'd want alot more than that coming backTDK Compo pick and Curnow Draft Picks from Swans for Butters. Can we do it and should we try to do it?
**** that, match the offers and force an RFA trade.TDK is gone. We all know that. We get a first-round pick (10) for him.

Please keep all 3Notes from Jon Ralph article today about Carlton (behind paywall):
-
- Carlton would love Silvagni to stay but are losing hope of that being a case as the contract is still unsigned after 3 months.
- Believes we will clear > 2M in salary cap
- Carlton in talks with Haynes and Kemp
- Club has told McGovern his non-selection in RD24 was not to do with his trigger. Club has told it's players they wanted to play the youth in the last five weeks of the season.
- Club has had talks with Motlop in recent weeks and he will consider his future but the club believe he is keen to re-sign and the club want him to.
- Will consider the futures of White, Fantasia and Evans in the coming days who are also un-signed
