Adding Dean to our list, alongside HOF (such a shame he got injured) shores up the key defensive stocks for the future but I think we desperately need to add a mature KPD to replace Silvagni

It would probably be hard to wrestle him out of a finals bound side but Jordan Butts at Adelaide is one I’d look at, he’s best 26-30 for them and has filled his role well when needed.

There aren’t too many ready made keys that could be gettable across lists so we may need to back in Young and a VFL/SANFL/WAFL key defender.

Yep, if the senario unfolds where hypothetically curnow goes and we get picks. I’d be bundling those up and going at a butters or big name target for sure.(that fills a need for us)

JSOS looks like he's gone as well. We'll hopefully get a second rounder for him.

Personally, I'm on the 'trade Curnow' bandwagon. If it nets us 2 x 1sts from Sydney or whomever, and we can then use those picks (plus the TDK and JSOS picks) to add a pacy outside mid (who can kick) or two and a small forward, I'd be pretty happy.

Sydney don't have two first round picks for a start, and at best a pick 11 or 12 in this draft is hardly inspiring.

I believe media & people can dream all they like but losing Curnow for anything less than a deal in our favour is not worth considering.
A good pre season he can kick 60 odd goals next season.

You would never knock back a player like Butters, however I just dont think our main needs are in our midfield. If we were going to spend the 1.5-2mil it would take to acquire Butters, I would prefer to spread it over areas of need like running half back & small forwards.

If they continue to play Motlop much higher he is worth persisting with, looks a lot quicker around the footy in midfield. Durdin I would look to move (just some absolutely shocking delivery inside 50 again in a game with zero pressure). White, he is likeable but unfortunately I'm starting to think he's pretty limited athletically perhaps? Does do the odd thing that makes you a believer though. Probable delist. Fantasia gone. It would be awesome. But the AFL has some kinda makey uppy rule that won't allow that, surely... Speaking of makey uppy rules. Is there a chance that our TDK compensation could be higher... given a contract has never been this long or this high before? I have no idea how the compensation value is calculated.
