It is a shame and I wanted him to stay for emotional reasons but his body is a mess and our offer was incredibly fair. I can't really see how losing a bloke who has played under 70 games in the last 6 years will hurt us too much on field.

A truly sad and
day for many. To match the gloomy miserable Melbourne weather.Serge was my Grandpa's favourite player. Having a 3rd generation Silvagni playing for us was nostalgic and special.
No idea why Jack's left. Silvagni legacy is over. Upset he never mentioned the devoted Blues fans and members, but that's life.
Hopefully the #1 is passed to Cody.

IMO Voss & the game style.
He wasn’t a favorite & doesn’t agree with how we’ve gone about playing footy.
I agree with him.
I dont really care about the legacy, I do care we just lost someone who can football.

Not great. Would love for the team to improve overall kicking skills, ideally starting with not losing one of the very few decent kicks we have. Bugger
Remember when we used to give them all our ex-premiership players, was kinda sweet of us.
But next year, after these sinister developments, will be a booing fiesta.

Nothing to see here...kennedy, martin, tdk, jsos. TDK aside, we are slowly removing players with any backbone.

My interest in the club and the players as individuals is largely limited to the bit between the opening bounce and final siren.
I don't care that your third cousin went to high school with him and thought he was a bit arrogant.
I don't care that your neighbours dad heard he wasn't popular with the playing group.
I don't care for the emotional man-child responses on here.
I just love watching unconditional players have at it. Jack was my favourite, like Kreuzer before him, Simmo before him, Hickmott, Dean and so on.
If all of our list had Jack's approach to the game we'd be eyeing off cup #18 or #19 right now.
Will hurt like hell seeing him in another jumper. Best of luck against all but us.

I’ve always loved the way he has carried himself on the field but to me it just puts him in the same company as someone like Hewett or Fogarty.
The family history means nothing to me.
I just hope to god his future isn’t played to this seasons level but to his first 9 years otherwise this will really hurt
