Let's see if Curnow makes a statement in the coming days how he has no issue with Voss, if he doesn't then it will become a fascinating story we're going to have to deal with ad-nauseum through trade period. If he doesn't get traded is Charlie mature enough to do the work next season and not give us another pre-season of crap to deal with?

i've been ready to trade curnow for a few seasons now, for the following reasons:
second efforts - when he doesn't win the contest he stops
willingness to work - when he doesn't get his way he wrestles rather than trying to out work his defender
instinctive rather than structured play - when he pings from 60m come off they are highlights but how often does he take that shot with a man running free into the 50?

look back to the final game aginst collingwood in 2022. we were all over them but our lack of poise, with charlie missing very simple shots and passes through rushing, rather than taking the time to asses the situation, running down the clock for our lead and playing smarter. we lost by a point and missed finals - not only CC's fault but he had massive moments in that match and failed to captialise repeatedly.

he is what he is, an incredible 1-on-1 player, goal kicker and freak talent. he's also 29, flaky and has terrible games regularly. i'd rather have a player who plays the same systems as his team mates and provides a known, repeatable game, even if his peaks aren't as spectactular.

So if Charlie is willing to go for less money, surely that means his new potential home will be willing to part with more draft/player capital as they have more cap space for other players?

From what I saw previously, his kicking wasn’t great.
Returned late this season to solidify his spot & believe he has been offered a 2yr extension from WCE.
