On what grounds? Yes as I said you see them paid, but why should they be? He’s had his chance to take possession, he quite literally had the ball in his hands and it was dislodged BECAUSE of the tackle. Why is it up to the tackler to stop midway through his action to check and see if he’s dislodged it? He’s also taking himself out of the play as well. Reward the tackler in some capacity by at the very least NOT penalising him for dislodging the ball

Its a frustrating freekick for supporters. One team says obviously held too long, the tackling team sees the dropped ball.
