Why? What does it have to do with the AFL? When F1 moved it to another date they didn't give a **** about the AFL.

As for opening round either all teams play or none at all.

The current 'Opening Round' concept sucks regardless of whether you have a game in Melbourne or not.

It now runs contrary to the original intention of giving greater focus to northern states which just makes it even sillier.

However, as Dillion's administration has had so few successes, instead many missteps, it appears they are going to bludgeon this idea down on the footy public in hope of our general distaste subsiding.

Going to get to a point where opening round has 6 or 7 games and round 1, 2 or 3 games. Just have round 1 with good match ups and build and give bang to the season.
