He was an awesome player for us, I wouldn't be calling him a loser. Having said that, he's always been an ordinary bloke.lol I genuinely hate SOS what a total loser of a bloke
Its clear his see you next Tuesday attitude was what made him a great footballer but a total flog
gee you've been a miserable sod since your source left the clubCarlton have slowly become a shit club, getting another dud in Reidy we already have list cloggers, so hey why not just add more.

Completely valid and I’m not against trading him. It’s the maximising value bit that I’m referring to.Charlie's knee has had multiple surgeries and is approaching 30. Now is the time to cash in the chips and get maximum return.
People are just looking for things to complain about now. Worried about a VFL Ruckman, who only plays seniors in the case of an extreme emergency.People mad at the acquisition of a 3rd ruck. Dees just re-signed Tom Campbell as their 2nd ruck. We aren't exactly going to get Max Gawn to ruck for our VFL team are we
Maybe wait till the end of the trade period before making negative comments based on one or two moneyball acquisitions.Carlton have slowly become a shit club, getting another dud in Reidy we already have list cloggers, so hey why not just add more.
Yeah let's just keep the bloke and let him turn up and play whenever he wantswhy is president making that decision on elijah?
probably over a dozen people at the club more qualified to make that call, that's not including his teammates.
weird.
The President would be making a decision in conjunction with the Board based upon the recommendation of those in the football department. It's totally appropriate.why is president making that decision on elijah?

Some of the posters here are just fundamentally opposed to the concept of trading CharlieFWIW, I've said trade Charlie for a while now.
Got shot down a bit. Took it on the chin.
Glad you're finally all on board.
. Also copped it when I shared the intel Sydney were into him back in July. The President would be making a decision in conjunction with the Board based upon the recommendation of those in the football department. It's totally appropriate.
Great player real ordinary bloke. Have seen him walk away from an Auskick clinic because the kids didn’t know him… yes that’s true.He was an awesome player for us, I wouldn't be calling him a loser. Having said that, he's always been an ordinary bloke.
Except it didn’t happen. The President would be making a decision in conjunction with the Board based upon the recommendation of those in the football department. It's totally appropriate.
I’d venture to say it was referred to board/pres for final say especially given hes still contracted. They would only be acting on it at request of footy dept.Huh? Then it would be the football department making the decision, rather than the President.
I don't think we should keep him but it's weird (if true). Who else does the Prez wanna delist?
Yep totally agree especially if his heart isnt in it. Ive said it before but why he was made part of the leadership group I'll never understand. In fact I do understand, they wanted a back, mid and forward in the leadership group. And in hindsight its one of the really poor decisions made by the club in this kanoodling culture we have germinated. His brother was a leader. He is and will always be a younger brother. Hes not a leader. No knock on the man I love watching him play but we arent all leaders and he plays his best footy on instinct and he isnt a thinker. The leadership role is too much for someone of his mindset (dont make me Myers-Briggs him).Charlie's knee has had multiple surgeries and is approaching 30. Now is the time to cash in the chips and get maximum return.
You're misreading the whole situation. In Elijah's case, there are obviously circumstances which are out of the ordinary, and the Board would be making a decision based on recommendations they have received. The President can't make any decision on his own, on any issue, he speaks on behalf of the board.Huh? Then it would be the football department making the decision, rather than the President.
I don't think we should keep him but it's weird (if true). Who else does the Prez wanna delist?
what didn't happenExcept it didn’t happen.
Possibly more of a chance to band camp, “this time in band camp ____”Was spoken to sternly for shit effort. Should sent him to bootcamp for preseason.
Yep. Not an uncommon practice for major decisions at clubs, including in the list management space (ie having the board agree to large offers for FAs or major trade calls etc)I’d venture to say it was referred to board/pres for final say especially given hes still contracted. They would only be acting on it at request of footy dept.
Probably not, but if anything like that did happen, it wouldn't be something to carry on about.Except it didn’t happen.
Maybe it’s known by most but I heard some of his past team mates hate him with a passion.lol I genuinely hate SOS what a total loser of a bloke
