Nice try Scythe but none of those posts I’m actually saying we should trade in any of those players…you also conveniently cherry picked and left out all the posts of me saying we should stockpile picks.

Cmon surely you are better than that. Not biased at all.

Also again, I havnt said anywhere we shouldn’t go for Flanders, was just highlighting his back issue, but seems people want to put words in my mouth.

Are we not allowed to discuss players injuries we are looking at trading in now without being attacked? Give us a break.

You regularly complain that we're not linked to any players, though. Then we get linked to one of the better ones on the market, and the narrative shifts again.

Anyway, I know you've also advocated for stockpiling picks. I personally wouldn't based on it being a weak draft, but get why you're keen on that in theory.

Reckon we give King a year with what we've got (with some adjustments) and then do a proper reset at the end of next year if we're crap again. Still enough talent on this list to be a half-decent team with the right coaching setup.

How is mentioning his back injury shifting the narrative? Seriously? Is this turning into DL?

Guy talks about player linked to us
Guy must be shifting narrative.

Talk about making assumptions.

Was talking about stockpiling 2026 picks.

If his back was actually cooked, he wouldn't have been playing footy. Give him an offseason and he should be fine.

He was playing well below par due to his injury. We had better want to be doing a solid medical on him.
Bring back the Richmond doctors

I actually was advocating for Flanders due to the fact it can lock us into talks with GC about there other 2025 3 first rounders they will likely want to offload to give us first attempt at nabbing one for 60c on the dollar through trade bundling.

I wonder if the Suns or Crows would make a play for Trac? Would suit them to a tee if he had any comfort with moving interstate.
He'd be a perfect fit for Adelaide, but I very much doubt he'd want to live in South Australia.

Dogs are potentially another option given they've been looking at Butters

Morris usually has good intell us on. I would trust his sources.
Tend to agree, but there's no real conviction in that tweet. Very much seems to be having a bit each way.

Sounds like that’s what it is. Club doesn’t want 50c on the dollar for pushing a trade and Trac doesn’t want to take a paycut or have to walk back to the club with his tail between his legs if he asks for one and it falls through again.

You may be right. Getting very close to trade period for a player of that calibre to be on the fence though.

I think it basically is saying Trac's management are trying to find something and setup a deal, and if they do the club will listen, but the club aren't pushing him out or instigating anything.
Again, that might be right (and I'm not refuting Morris having good mail in the past). I'm just saying that he's given himself multiple outs if nothing eventuates, and I somewhat struggle to believe that we'd be this close to trade period without wheels being set in motion (if he was going to leave).

Morris gets good Dees mail though - If he is saying something (even if it seems super vague) then it means something IMO. To me it's basically implying that last year was 'he's contracted we're keeping him' and this year is 'we will listen if you bring us something'.

Trac would be trying to get to the Pies or Hawks I reckon, so wouldn't expect much movement at the moment anyways, but his management will 100% be making calls trying to line something up.

Pretty sure Ash Johnson and Finlay Macrae were another one
They've been including Miochek too, despite him being a free agent. And we're supposedly going to chip in up to half a million of his salary for the privilege too.

Geez it'd be tough seeing him in a pies jumper.
Wouldn't be too concerned. Doubt a new coach, exec and pres come in and trade him to Collingwood for literal peanuts – would be a hell of a way to burn bridges with fans before you even get going.
