Ok.

Let’s take the weekends sub. Reville.

The selection panel tied. Mattsmob has the casting vote.

No sub…but 5 interchange.

You playing Ty (4th tall) or Reville?
You have 4 smalls on the bench already.

I’m playing Ty.
Not sure I understand the question, the same team from the weekend? Who’s injured/not injured?

At this point I think the best structure is 3 key forwards with one as the backup ruck. Morris the only certainty, Allen if fit is another certainty, if Ty continues this form or gets better then it’s a shootout between he and Hippy.

To answer your exact question I’d probably go Bruce even though I don’t think that’s the conversation

Was interesting the tweet about Dangerfield taking a pay cut for Bailey Smith and then happening to win a Ford Mustang from Garry Lyon with Ford a sponsor of the Cats

On a show run by Geelong’s most high profile member.

Amazing how every player somehow wants to take a huge paycut to play for geelong.
Is it though?
Wanting to play in a good system, that most years is a genuine chance to make a GF is probably worth taking a pay cut for.

What would the rent be on the type of house the Curnow lives in, in Melbourne be like? Keeps that rents it out, buys a house in Geelong for cheaper than a similar house in Melbourne.

I'm not saying money under the table somehow is not possible, just that there might be legitimate ways he can recoup the money lost.

Reminds me of the months of ‘will he or won’t he’ speculation over Travis Cloke re-signing at the Pies before it was eventually announced he’d agreed to a new five year deal.

“And in completely unrelated news, Travis Cloke has signed on to appear as a Footy Show panellist for the next five years.”

Pretty much vomit material to see AFL luminaries falling out of trees to get stuck into Merrett.

He's given his heart and soul for that club when most of the others weren't doing a lot for years and at 30 years of age in this era he's perfectly entitled to explore options for some team success in his final years.

He's got no hope of getting that where he is.

All this talk of restricting player movement won't make a difference.

Footy player is a high stress job. Performing in a high stress job requires an environment that helps remove barriers and does everything possible to give you what you need to succeed.

You could put half of our players in essendon and it they'd probably improve the club for a bit, but that work place will chip away at them and performances will stagnate and reverse.

FIX YOUR FREAKING CULTURE.

Our culture was rubbish and good players underperformed.

We fixed the culture and a five game no name player is a finals hero.

And don't even get me started on st kilda who spend more time being aggrevied that their own players aren't good enough than helping those players succeed.

Disclaimer - our club doesn't meet everyone's need. Think gunston. Players need to be able to move to where they get to their best if they can.

Note - i'm petty. I'm glad Gunston isn't getting a premiership with hawks this year. Another lions premiership might soften that stance.

I think if we move past the starce issue, we also have a backline problem that is just as important as our forward one for next season. Yes, we need to find space for Allen and possibly draper in the forward line (probably at the expense of fort and oscar) and maybe Gallop will keep hipwood out, but we have Kiddy, Payne and Answerth who would all command a starting spot next year. Looking at the backline, it's hard to take anyone out, but those 3 players should be starters given their quality. I feel for Dizzy, but he would have to return to the VFL, and Answerth is the most like for like replacement for starce, and Kiddy will probably fight for a starting spot with Zorks given they're both elite kicks. And given Zorko will be 37 next season, you don't know what will happen there. And that's even before attempting to see if we could get Ridley, and there's also Doedoo. I love Starce, but given our defensive depth, I know for a fact we would be okay without him. I mean, people thought we would struggle when Payne left, and look at what Dizzy has done for us.

Can I get some lotto numbers?
