Provisional MCC here (useless). I'm looking to buy a single ticket. Any means necessary but not keen on $2k+ corporates. If someone needs to offload I'm willing to sweep up. Standing also ok.

Comrades, $1250 on the lower wing taking the piss or I should be biting this guy's hand off.
If that's in a corporate package then it may well be a good deal

If it's purely for the seat & nothing more, he's def taking the piss and looking to make a killing on reselling - that ticket in the ballot was $515

Factoring in the permitted 10% increase on face value, it should be no more than $566.50 for a single ticket in that location

Cool. Thanks. The guy pretty much said he was doing that to cover his membership.

If it’s an AFL Membership (I don’t know if club members have access to either wing - but AFL Members have access to Shane Warne Stand wing), the face value for the ticket was $249.

Plus there is the risk you’ll be stopped and asked for ID that matches the name of the member that booked the ticket.

Would not advise.

That's really good to know

FYI all

We've had reports of allegations of posters scalping on BigFooty. If any member attempts this via PM please report. If anyone attempts via public post, report and Cats mods will deal with it

Anything between bays 16-25ish, on all levels, is an AFL Member ticket. I am sitting dead centre on the wing and my ticket was $249. Absolutely brilliant membership when your team makes it this deep into September.

Sounds like a perfect spot

Correct, I know of someone who this happened to and lost the ticket which was onsold from someone he knew. The Tc's & C's on the AFL membership are clear. AFL membership cards and associated benefits, including Grand Final tickets, are strictly for the personal use of the member.

The bloke that sold him his ticket received a warning and was threatened with a membership suspension or cancellation on a repeat.

Credit to our regulars, they've been really good & on top of reporting any suspicious or questionable posts - do love how folks are looking out for each other

At this stage we haven't seen too many blatantly advertising via public posts well above the price point; it's more so been those greenhorns offering to pay anything to get a ticket that have been a bit more of an issue

It might be the same guy that offered me 1300 for seats in the same area.

True but unfortunately that's the way of the world.

If you buy a 2k package it's just the AFL doing the scalping?

Well that's a package with add ons.

This is a $250 ticket somebody is trying to mark up to cover the cost of their annual membership. Gross.
