Now that our season is over, and news is starting to break - it's time for a fresh thread.

This thread is to discuss all things list management - trades, draft, free agency, delistings and more.
As we are now officially in our off-season, we'll be wanting to keep this thread more strictly on-topic than the previous iterations.
Be respectful. You are allowed to disagree with someone - but play the ball, not the man. Repeat offenders will have their posting rights revoked.

Free Agency Period: Friday, October 3rd - Friday, October 10th
Trade Period: Monday, October 6th - Wednesday, October 15th
AFL Draft: Wednesday, November 19th - Thursday, November 20th

That might be what you see, I see an ambitious sports presenter seeking to "build her brand".

Mime becoming the dominant form of entertainment in the 21st century is not something I saw coming.

No offense mate but...Abbie Holmes is the last person to consider that about...do some research, she is self made had a dream and chased it, paid for her own flights, worked f*cken hard, built her brand, kicked 100 goals in a season....the players respect her and love her....not a hill to die on chief...just saying.

Yeah, I just wanted to see how these things permeate.

I won't name names, but I was hit up by various ITKs from multiple clubs and fed them little pieces of bullshit and it all then got repackaged as "info from sources" or as "a bit of smoke".

Some of the details got repeated on radio and fed into tweets from journos etc.

Disappointingly, I left some really nice breadcrumbs that should have made the story slightly more believable that nobody picked up on.

The weirdest part was when a group of people on here started banding together and claimed I'd deleted posts from earlier in the year about Nas. Not sure if that was somebody with alts, or a shared false memory, but it was interesting none the less.

Overall I think the board did pretty well. I don't think anyone bought my little yarn hook, line and sinker. But it clearly did influence the commentary.

Last thing on the Wilkie farce and the laughing stock that is Footscray or whatever name they have this week, Tom Morris said Wilkie recently met Beveridge. Soon after he commits to the Saints.
Not unreasonable to believe that Wilkie was put off the idea because Beveridge is so loopy and strange. Who would want to be in that environment? He is much better under a system where everyone is involved not a megalomaniac who runs roughshod over everyone and shafts a favourite son to save himself.

Ok, so did that AFL just inadvertently make the 2 time reigning premiers stronger yet again?

If Lions get Allen and Draper as free agents they wouldn't get compensation for losing Starcevich.

Eagles asked for the compensation for Allen not to be affected by getting Starcevich, it got knocked back but they got a free end of 1st round pick which is expected to be traded for Starcevich.

So in essence, the AFL just gave the Lions an end of first round compensation pick on top of getting 2 big name free agents and Annable for bugger all.

Bassat was right, not enough is being done to equalise this comp.
