I think he seriously considered us for a time but his manager may have reached out to the suns to tell them he was willing to get far out of Melbourne if GC was interested. GC came late to the party. Probably would have come to us. We were his backup plan in the end I guess.

It was always going to come down to location and club setup.

Gold Coast is a more desirable location for the average person and the club is primed for success under a proven premiership winner

Another reason to sack Nicks then.
