He'd actually be great for Port off half back as a distributor. Not for us though.
Sure, but at the time he was only 26 and a year off winning a best and fairest.
Silvagni is just a player.
We were awful that year and the AFL couldn’t even give us a little boost like they have with other struggling clubs.

But this is only half of the equation .....the Academy Scheme, with its flood of players coming thru, enables GC to better meet MELB's needs with higher Draft Picks and/or playersIf he goes to Gold Coast on a five year deal, fair enough, we were outbid with a high offer, weren't prepared to go there and walked away
If he wanted 5 years from Adelaide but signs for 4 at Gold Coast it's a pretty clear sign he chose them specifically and forced our hand
For someone who highly likely be sidelined permanently in the next game?Surely that wouldn't get close to the trade value for Wardlaw.
He's a two top 10 pick sort of player under contract
Your boy Campbell Chesser would have been worth approaching - although he may be better suited to a wing than right in the guts
I suspect Steele is a salary dump to fit all the high-priced Contracts dished out by St KildaIf cheap then I'd be okay with it.
Are you trying to be funny ?![]()
Not that I’m aware of todayNah wondering if they've overheard anything.
How may bnfs has Steele won and pretty sure he was giving up the captaincy anyway. All hell breaks loose if a Capt of a Club seeks a trade (Merrett) ....but apparently, nothing to see here, if a Club wants to trade their Capt
Throw out all the rules, you grew up believing in Football ....there's a new world order now

We don't have the Goose & Golden eggs to compete on the same level
In MLB for the GF, I was lucky enough to meat a lovely young (ish) lady who was working for a prominent Tax Acct group that seemingly looked after many AFL players.not potentially. it comes with huge risk!
but sometimes you need to take a risk... but there's a reason no one wants a 28yo brownlow medalist bull mid.
oh if only we had an academy, father son A grade mids and 3rd party deals that extend past free hiluxs and radio segments.
I didPlayer development has a habit of being weird. I doubt anyone would be keen to bet on Rowell being a Brownlow medalist in year 6 off his first 4 years of production (where he looked like a guy who could win clearances and not much else).
Lol that’s how you say it these days is it?In MLB for the GF, I was lucky enough to meat a lovely young (ish) lady
Correct, however he was bereft of options, if the Crows pulled out .....became a one horse racePetracca still needs to agree to go there.
Gold Coast (and GWS) have always had tons of picks and players to trade but have struggled to get talent to go there. I think the Academy/pick stuff is a non factor, the real draw card is the combination of location + (now) potential success
Like previous trades (Houston for example), if Petracca had nominated us, the deal would have gotten done
Got the. MEAT. RightLol that’s how you say it these days is it?
Dew smells a coaching vacancy brewingYeah
Port announced it earlier this week

Stuart Dew returns to Alberton as senior assistant coach
Stuart Dew has returned to Alberton, with the experienced coach and premiership player set to join the club as a senior assistant coach.www.portadelaidefc.com.au
Christ surely not. He should be on minimum salary.
I was thinking maybe bringing forward some more payments to young players. Not filling a veterans pockets
Correct, however he was bereft of options, if the Crows pulled out .....became a one horse race
This somewhat negates his negotiating position on Contract & $$$$ .....if GC know it's only them in the hunt now
