Someone has given him a tap on the shoulder and said “you **** up like you did last year with the Daniel and F1 trade and you are done at this club…”
I can't imagine anyone with authority at the club would say the above.
More like 'you did your best Brady, that's all we can aim for is for you to do your best'....

Some intel from a couple of Carlton ITKs claim He was caught trying sell 'the bag' to a couple of other players at IKON Park a cpille of times this year.

He has a lot of talent but alas I fear he is another Laurie Angwin headache.

The fact he is from Adelaide and The Crows who are crying out for an elite skilful midfielder speaks volumes.

I don’t think he is worth the risk for your talented and impressionable young players and list tbh.

He needs a good long stint at rehab and prove he is clean for 12 months (minimum) before he deserves another chance at AFL level imo
Rumours

Rumours and assumptions....same things were being bandied about tysen stengle...He's turned out alright....I thought Elijah was from Victoria.left SA when he was 8 or 9.lived in Wodonga and played for Murray bushrangers

bloody sooks,

'GOING TO BE HARD WORK'
🚦

Geelong has been tasked with the improbable mission of acquiring Charlie Curnow AND Rowan Marshall this trade period... and their capital might be a worry
😬

READ HERE >> bit.ly/46RqbAh

not like they had the herculean challenge of signing charly spargo and retaining CCJ!

If we'd picked up Tyson Stengle, he'd probably be in jail now. It is known that he was a wild, irresponsible knucklehead. He was booted from Adelaide because of it and then Geelong picked him up and very early on had to deal with his bullshit. He's where he is now because of their competence

We have been much quieter re. leaks in recent years so not surprised we haven't heard much about out plans in the media.

Curious to see whether we have anything cooking in the background.
It's quiet because we have no plan to be leaked.

He's also where he is now thanks to Geelong's ability to suppress his misdemeanours, notably scrapped off a dance floor at a nightclub. Don't agree much with Caroline Wilson, but she's on the money when it comes to Geelong

In my eyes, the ability to suppress misdemeanours falls under the competence umbrella

I know we try to have a laugh at our list boss' lack of anything, let alone ability to do his job - but its just really sad that other clubs see him as a donkey. Dodoro for all his failings was still a campaigner to deal with.

A meme has never been more apt for Brady than Homer being ridiculed by his peers at work.
I mean Sam Powers the witless wonder had him done cold in the Daniel trade. Its dire.

NO IFS OR BUTTS

JORDON Butts is expected to remain at Adelaide after attracting interest from Victorian clubs ahead of his free agency season in 2026.

The Western Bulldogs and North Melbourne have explored a trade for the key defender in recent weeks to fill a hole in defence.

TRADE TRACKER Get the details of every trade

Butts started and ended the 2025 season in the SANFL, playing 10 senior games around a five-week layoff due to a collapsed lung, before playing reserves in September while Matthew Nicks' team played two finals.

The 25-year-old has one year left on his contract and the Crows have made it clear they don't want to lose Butts.

The Western Bulldogs have been actively pursuing a key defender, meeting Jack Silvagni before he made his free agency call to join St Kilda, before pivoting to try and prise Cal Wilkie out of the Saints.

Butts was also considered by the Bulldogs – and they held conversations with the Crows – but they aren't planning on pursuing the contracted backman.

With Jack Buckley re-signing with Greater Western Sydney last month, Butts is set to be one of the most attractive key defenders in next year's free agency pool, along with Richmond’s Ben Miller. – Josh Gabelich

If Gold Coast want Petracca and Melbourne are steadfast that they won't pay any of Christian Petracca's contract should he be traded to them then:

Maybe we offer to take Jed Walter and his contract so GC can have Petracca... ;)

Maybe we shouldn't announce the players we're after 3 weeks before the trade period

The Rawlings interview was more promising than I expected. Hopefully it wasn't just posturing and we follow through and don't do any stupid trades for the sake of it. I'd be happy to go to the draft with what we have, take a couple of second rounders and call it a day.

  • Will Dawson to play as a key defender next year, hopefully he is ready
  • We won't trade Jy or Zane
  • Spargo will play as a high half-forward rather than deep

I can get behind all this. Still no word on how many rookie spots we have, wtf?
