List Spots Available (39 of 48):
• Main list (33 of 38) - 5* (in: Starcevich, Young out: Allen, Ryan, Chesser, Hunt, Petruccelle, Jamieson)

Just for those saying the deal was meh.

Herald Sun (who are normally east coast biased and driven to applaud clubs that make moves, whether bad or not) assessing the trade. Eagles A-, Lions B+ and Freo C-.

They report the winner in this three-teamer is West Coast, who get the player and the best draft pick of the deal.

The Eagles moved up the draft order and had to hand over a choice (22) they got given on a silver platter by the AFL for losing games, and only did the deal to make sure they still likely get pick 2 as Oscar Allen compensation.
Haha, suck on it bitches.

I think Obeanie was proposing trading 12 (now 13) and 33 for 6.

That would leave Gold Coast with 13, 15, 18 in the first round. Along with 33 and 35 in the second. Leaving aside pick 8 for Petracca.

That's 3,609 points.

Still short and not factoring in the bids pushing those picks further back (it's kind of hurting my brain trying to factor that in), but pretty close.
Yeah that makes sense. 3,609 points to match bids at 3 & 4 (costing 3,726).

Not as grim as I thought given the picks are not pushed back when matching, only after matching the bid.

12 + 14 + 17 = 3,043. Covers the Richmond bids Suns hold other picks.

Suns 6 = 1,690 points

Eagles 12 + 33 = 1,522 points

Eagles trade 12 and 33 for 6. Dont bid on the Suns kids.
I've got the points needed if Richmond go 3 and 4, at 4140?

If Eagles bid at 1 + 2, they need = 5481

If we don't bid, worst case scenario is Richmond at 3 + 4 = 4140

They give us 6 (1690)
We give them 12 + 33 (1522), and they already have 14+17 (1903) = 3425

They have to find another 715 points. I'm sure they're trade out #7 as well.

Am I missing something?

Well there a lot of anger towards Oscar and safe to say he's earned some of it.

He had 1 good season and showed a lot of promise at times.

Probably the worst captain we appear to have had.

The best thing he's done for us is get us pick 2 😂

Personally think we end up with 7 & 8 and the Dees get pick 2 for Petracca.

Trade up with the Blues with Chesser deal and take 1,7,8 & 10 to the draft.

Interesting. Four top 10s would be nice. If we don’t end up with pick 7 one way or another I reckon Uwland and Patterson are read out at 2 and 3.

They could also lose another couple of players so that could get the extra points.

We have a decent part in the games he missed over the years... I stand to be corrected, but didn't his knee issues originate with us using him in the ruck in his early years?

I think that was his shoulders.

If we only take 3 picks in the draft its probably good to trade in the likes of Dev and other delisted to top us up as these temporary players will help more than non competitive later draft picks . We've been hoping for late drsft pick miracles too long . Just take a few early picks each year and develop these and draft mature bodies too .
