Make of it whatever you like it's patently obvious we are a long way off of other clubs when it comes to being hard to deal with.
We came equal 5th, actually.

A real survey would ask clubs to rank the other clubs, or at least give a top 5, and then would weight the results accordingly.

All this tells us is that 17 clu s don't think the Crows are the singularly most difficult team to work with, and one does.

Well I look forward to Nicks getting the likes of Laird and Keays into the midfield if it is struggling.

The bonus for 2026 is Nicks has lost his security blankets - Murphy and Smith.
If he does that, he gets the sack.

Not because the board won’t be happy. But because we won’t win games.

Wonder if we'll try to bring Andy Otten back after he left Collingwood's VFL coach role

I was only just told the other day that Justin Reid is a bit arrogant and not super popular with many other clubs (this is from someone that actually deals with him outside of the public eye). Hasn't really impacted us at the trade table in recent years though, so not sure it matters all that much.
Are not most people in his role a bit arrogant?

Not a role where we want someone who is a pushover.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there a rule whereby you had to take at least 1 first round pick over X years?

Or is that now a rubbery 'everyone else but Geelong' rule? :$ :drunk:
They changed the rules this week as soon as they realised Geelong had asked them to change them.

****en lol .. you massive D/H

What the **** have I got to do with the article that you can't read

Did you start early on the piss today?

Oh you poor little lad, surely it’s not that embarrassing being called out for being stupid. You claimed that the story about Reid being hard to deal with was made up by a poster on here and added some mayo about us not recruiting 3 guns or other such nonsense. It wasn’t exactly a hard to follow chain of discussion. Scorpus mentioned it, you chimed in with your chip and massive ego and I provided the background.

And now you can’t recall the relevance and have wigged out, again. It’s not me on the piss mate, I pre-partied last night, nothing for me today. You’re obviously a few in though, memory is shot. And rums again too, the hulk is back, you’ll get a day off to relax soon.

And equal 10th too.

The ranks are meaningless beyond the first couple

There was, yes!

Strangely removed after Curnow announced where he wanted to go. Weird.

minimum of 2 in a 5 year block is my understanding?

Since Neither Geel or Haw used a first round pick in 2024, trading out their next 3 wouldn't be allowed under that rule.

Coincidentally, both are in the market for big names this trade period.

Now is it a 'tweak' to favour two big vic clubs? or a 'tweak' to enable more big trades, big headlines, big ratings and big advertising $? or both?

Probably both, but call me a skeptic for thinking this rule wouldn't be considered if the shoe was on the Crow's foot.

At last my "premium midfielder of the future" ......let him FLY !

I'm not as harsh on the club as many here for not having landed midfield talent this trade period - you can't force players to come, after all - but geez, we're now touting Pedlar as one of the answers to our midfield issues?

I was a massive Pedlar fan back in 2023, but there has been no indication whatsoever in the last two seasons that he will be a contributor in any role at AFL level in 2026, let alone representing significant improvement to our current midfield mix.

Its there hes just not fit. How the hell has Burgess allowed him to be unfit for the last four years?

James Rowbottom open to leave Sydney. Love that guy.

Unless there is some underlying injury issue that we're not aware of (which, to be fair, wouldn't be that surprising with Pedlar) I think we just need to accept that this is as fit as Pedlar is going to get.

Taylor's fitness has always been an issue, but he's still been able to contribute at times at AFL level. Whereas Pedlar has barely shown a glimpse in the last two years. It's really disappointing.
