-It is almost impossible for Geelong to not be a contender for the foreseeable future.

The club doesn't see Marshall as "surplus to requirements". I think they have been very clear that they want him at the club next year unless they are compensated in a manner that turns their head.

Mentioned on Trade Radio this morning that St K was aware for months this trade request was coming. It's highly likely that Marshall is already planning his life on the surf coast (looking at houses etc).

A deal will get done.

Marshall aware for years that he's contracted for another 2 , 'adamant' or not.

I still can't see the Cats offering enough to turn our heads, but the odds of it happening are not zero.
