The Schubert! Looks to be a bargin buy height, contest marking, agility. Stocking up on our fwd stocks for the future.

The only surprise is no mids in the draft or free agency i expect a few role changes next season.

The Fox rankings had Nairn and Schubert both inside the top 12.

Looks like we've gone best available and potentially snared 2 bargains whilst adding multiple 2nd rounders.

I've also got no idea why people are still so keen on Greaves who's clearly slid due to his tweener size and lack of speed.

Possibly or we've identified that outside of a ready made manchild talent like Sharp we aren't going to be expecting any of these draftees to feature for 2026.

We're going for high upside long-burn options. Schubert and Nairn fit the bill.

I understand why everyone wanted mids.

We are lacking midfield depth, but the club obviously didn't see the quality at our picks that could make an immediate impact so we drafted best talent instead of wasting picks on mids that won't be able to impact right now.

I think everything we've done also suggests we're confident in players like Butler, Ward, Mackenzie being able to shoulder the midfield load alongside Newcombe, Day and Nash.

I had us getting up for Schubert. Being linked to Heatherton told us we wanted a key forward. Just went and got the best in the draft.

10 years of him and Dear. We're set.

I thought we wanted Lindsay and Schubert. Still not sure if that Eagles scramble was what we expected. But Nairn looks great and will be a very nice utility.

yes, we’ve given up our f3 to brisbane but gained two f2 (saints, gws)

I think in a draft like this you just have to take talent, you can’t get picky.

I think the club still would have real concerns over our midfield but taking mids just for the sake of it won’t get us far

This a very big possibility and if we launched GWS 2nd rounder to get back in and nab Greeves then worth the punt.

Feel like following Geelong model of draft and development. Draft keys while you’re competing and develop in the shadows rather than drafting them when you’re at the bottom and expecting them to come straight in and win you games.
