Shallowest draft ever?
No, I’m just being realistic. History says most of these lads won’t make it. Curtin was an elite talent/high pick. Onley is purely speculative and prob won’t amount to much. Harsh, but that’s the way it is. As for Draper, I’ll die on the hill that his lack of awareness and poor skills will stop him from being the player we hope he becomes. Of course I hope I’m wrong.I feel you may have fallen into the 'If they don't explode in their first year as a high pick they're a bust' mindset. We only have to look back to 2024 with Curtain when people were calling him a bust for not doing a Nick Daicos in his first year, and look at him now. Draper will be a star, let the kid develop, trust the process.
You won't know how good or bad this draft is for 3-5 yearsThis is what happens when the draft is real bad. Tons of uncertainty
Bugger. I was hoping he would stay at WWT. Top player. Wish him the best.Zane Peucker from SA to Richmond
We saw in finals 3 talls doesn't work.
Keep the boys away from PortCould Ross the boss and the Saints make a play for Philippou junior now he's got through to tonight, was a very strong rumour early in the week. Saints have pick 40 currently but no surprise now if they offer up some 2026 collateral to rise up the board.
Who do you want at our pick?Plenty of highly touted types on the board
If our midfield could've hit the side of the barn door our setup would have looked a whole heap better. This is a fallacy that has been disproven a dozen times over
