Ok changing my preferred scenario now.
Oscar will win the sprint.

Oscar now needs pole for the GP, whatever it takes.
Max 2nd, Lando 3rd would be ideal scenario.
Lando to do something stupid at the start and take out himself and Max.

OSCAR leads championship after this race 8+25 pts = 33 pts, total = 399 pts
Lando 6 pts (3rd in sprint race) + 0 pts GP = 393 pts

Oscar by 6 pts!!!!

Lol, McLaren now so desperate not to lose the drivers championship they've paid a little more attention to Oscar's car.

Now both cars seem to be quick again, it creates the possibility of Norris and Oscar fighting for the points and taking each other out. Could see Norris deliberately crashing into Oscar to seal the championship if Max was out of the points or race.

I want Oscar to win but would also be happy to see Max win and McLaren get nothing for how poorly they've played their hand.

That really would have had papaya rules on steroids as WCC is the priority given how the prize money is a huge factor in teams budgets.

He's not wrong though, RB are a ruthless team, as is Max.

To be fair RB can afford to be ruthless because no one that they put in the 2nd RB since ricciardo can actually drive it.
But Max still has a point about mental ruthlessness which he has and McLaren dont.

He didn't specify, he just said it should be over.

Max would no doubt demand the No.1 driver be the priority for most of the season and would likely demand he be given priority when 34 points down with 7 races to go. In saying that, if he was 34 points up and the No.2 driver, no way he follows team orders to hand over the championship.

Newey knows his stuff (as a designer) but I'm not sure you can ever be fighting for a WDC as a lead driver while Lance Stroll's father owns the team.

Depends on how RBR end up. Can quite easily see Max jumping ship if they are no good in 2026, and basically any of the remaining teams would all clammer for Max's signature, he will walk into whichever team has the best car.

I think Lawrence will eventually have to concede lance isn't WC material. If Oscar was to go to Aston martin, it would definitely be as a lead driver, Mark Weber will definitely see to that.
