So proud to support this team. My two young girls got to stay up late and watch the game, which means a lot.

Absolute agreement. Hard two way run, physical toughness and pressure all across the ground is the minimum expectation for any team no matter how talented. Brisbane’s boys and our girls bring it and are back-to-back as a result of blending talent with presence and effort.

Our men’s talent level may not be quite at the required level yet but there is no excuse for their work rate, physicality and discipline not being where they should be. If they bring it next season we will finally take the big step forward we need as there is enough talent to compete with most teams, most days.

As it stands our girls are setting the standard. Long may they reign!

There is an excuse, the coaches do not demand it to get a game.

Let's hope the club sits down Crocker and Clarko and have a conversation about the fundamentals of what makes the women a great team and what makes the men's side a perennial bottom four team and what can translate from the AFLW program into the AFL.

Side note, I saw Shaun Smith having some problems with security when trying to access the ground (prior to the second siren). Looked like it could have got a little heated out there but it resolved itself without too much drama.
