I just love the cognitive dissonance from these QLD tossers. Saying how we have an unfair advantage while completely being ok with the BS the AFL has handed their Men’s side.

On the face of it the scheduling is poor from Cam but they may have been the only dates offered to him and we know they were locked in well before we’d secured a Grand Final berth. I am sure the club will learn from it and ask AFL players not to make other plans for next year’s AFLW GF date in case we make it again (not unlikely). The girls definitely deserved better support from the AFL team.

They’d want to have had a family emergency.

They have to meet club event and sponsor requirements in their playing contract.

I would have thought the club would have made it an enforced requirement under these conditions.

We probably all know which ones attended and which ones didn’t to be honest.

From a Brisbane perspective I thought Grider destroyed Bogue, who Brissy clearly put a focus on. Ellenger was excellent throughout. Dawes is built to play finals and did nothing to hurt her rep, thought she was clearly their best. Everyone else just kind of got squeezed into submission.

All the concerns there mightve been about specific players were quashed. Shannon was what Shannon has been the whole season - equal parts dependable and heart wrenching to watch. Despite some shocking kicks she is where she needs to be all the time. Craven's disposal was crisp and Conway/O'Dwyer had next to no impact. Amy Smith just seemed to be everywhere and used her body so well in high pressure situations. To say nothing of Eddey popping up in the right spots, Emma King clunking them when nobody else could. Just a complete performance to cap a dominant season

It’s quite unbelievable how a team at this level can win this many games in a row .
Not sure how long the run can continue, but we are a seeing a truely remarkable group, and they play for us !!!
Not sure we will see a team so dominant in the Aussie rules space like this again for a while.

Appreciate there might be something we don't know however if an opportunity presents to watch a grand final of your senior team - you go.

The problem other teams have faced with playing us is they put so much focus on trying to stop certain things in our game it hinders them from scoring and winning .
They are already struggling before the game has started imo . It’s a great spot for us to be in to be honest.

Club needs to legitimately leverage and pile on the pressure whilst they are emerging as a women’s powerhouse.

With the multi billion dollar station built a stones throw away, the residential build to rents flowing into the pipeline around the ground, there should be absolutely zero excuse for not making Arden St the equivalent to Moorabbin or the Whitten Oval in terms of a women’s football micro stadium.

A covered grandstand of some description should be the goal with an upcoming state election this year.

How can the best football program in the women’s game be playing on the most under developed home ground from an amenities perspective?

I noticed Schleicher gave the club a bit of a drive by on the facilities in the coverage during the presentations last night.
