Yes its a hypothetical question, whats your answer, understand its a long way out, but if those things were to happen what chance would you give him of getting an extension to play atleast in 2027?Again, read my post, I never said to put Tom Mitchel on the list. We agree only that an injury-plagued career results in reduced leadership.
The rest of your post is purely hypothetical and assumes Setterfield will play more games rather than fewer. You seem to be getting more off topic and not reading my posts accurately. I'm not interested in engaging in an endless 'what if' this happens type scenario.
I think this is where it sits. You clearly want an untried youngster? We disagree, thats fine, we have a tonne of kids and will only get more
I think this is where it sits.
Possibly interested in this one.
Fiorini has avg an almighty 2.7 more per year
I disagree, but again he doesnt have to necessarily be playing AFL if were fully fit and healthy and hes holding Robey out of the midfield, IF hes ready for that
There are plenty of ways to work around and the 23 man squad helps this situation
It allows those experienced guys to go elsewhere and help more often if need be. Zerrett can go forward or back. Durham and Caldwell have shown to be good forward aswell
Really fwd is the only area we struggle than with experience? But if were saying 89 games is experience then we have Perkins there, not to mention Langford, 2MP, Guelfi, Gresham

I would. Was one of my favourite players last season.A bit of talk about Setterfield , but would we consider bringing Lual back?
But that posters saying they cant help if theyre not playing AFLYou have to include VFL games in to the calculations for availability as well
Don't be a coward and tag me. And I said Setterfield has reduced leadership because he's often injured. Sign him up to the VFL list. But that posters saying they cant help if theyre not playing AFL
From memory it was a discussion between a few posters and i couldnt remember exactly who it was, but i dont need to tag everyone i have a chat withDon't be a coward and tag me. And I said Setterfield has reduced leadership because he's often injured. Sign him up to the VFL list.
I see no point in bringing Setterfield back. Really good player when fit but he’s frequently not fit.
If we want injury cover then a key criterion is no ongoing injury history. If we’re looking to use the spot to squeeze in another development prospect then that player needs to be young enough to conceivably have upside.
Hire him as an assistant for this role. Our midfield has no defensive accountability. From memory it was a discussion between a few posters and i couldnt remember exactly who it was, but i dont need to tag everyone i have a chat with
Because he misses 9 weeks during home and away still gives him plenty of opportunity considering just how ridicuously inexperienced we will be losing Martin, Draper, Goldy, Shiel and maybe a fairly disinterested Zerrett and Ridley half way through the year. We disagree with eachother and have talked around in circles for long enough.
Hes our only mature genuine big mid and weve just drafted 3, they aint going to learn as much just against eachother at training with stoppage craft/guidance
Our mid depth is also clearly tested, we already have to be careful with Robey. We dont want to have no option but to push 18 yr old kids into a significant role when theyre not ready for a full year - people wonder why we get injuries
I dont think Mcgrath, Mckay, Redman, Fiorini, 2MP is enough experience. We can hardly be confident relying on Zerrett, Langford, Ridley, Guelfi, Gresham, Parish and not one of those 11 is like Setterfield style wise. Sure, we cant rely on Setterfield either more than his 13-14 games, but its another layer of experience that needs to go down, and id sure love him to be at stoppage craft even if out chatting through with Robey, Sharp and Farrow on setup, manoevores, body work, oppo cues and having a similar frame/size against them
He's a train on else where. (Richmond)Fits the profile. Leader. Competitor.
Bonus is he has good speed and takes the game on.
The knock is disposal. Can make poor decisions when he is rushed and despite having an okay kicking action he can be hit and miss.
Is 100% someone you would find a rookie spot for.
I think the odds of a train on prospect knocking back a contract put in front of them by anyone are pretty lowHe's a train on else where. (Richmond)
i mean it doesn't rule us out, but makes it more unlikely he chooses us.
Hudson O'Keeffe was training with us before Carlton signed him. Baldwin with GC before signing with us.He's a train on else where. (Richmond)

If we offer a contract now do you think he says no ?He's a train on else where. (Richmond)

Cam Nyko was the VFl player expected to be picked up in MsD before his hammy injury.I reckon McGrath is a chance to play mid this season based on the end of last season
I’d be keen on Raso. Was very interested in him for the msd. Should of been the pick over Smartt
Dodoro bought the voting machines! As legit as Putin's election victories
Wouldn’t be upset if we added Nyko.Cam Nyko was the VFl player expected to be picked up in MsD before his hammy injury.

think he is training with us a bit to help out again.
Do a current best 22 - so Robey, Langers, Ridley, Martin all outside plus Hayes, Bryan, Edwards, Jones, maybe sideline caddy tooI don't think Setterfield makes sense anymore in the context of our trade period.
If I was picking a midfield with everyone fully fit and available he's very close, if not in the first rotation, but picking up Sharp and Robey as big, inside players and him being injured and losing Martin, and not drafting Sweid probably means I would preference a half forward with a bit of legspeed rather than an inside player.
