No, its not shifting waste. Its making the spending of money more efficient.
Its not efficient though . Its waste
In terms of lower prices and fixing the economy, that is not a 'click your fingers' and its done problem. Most people understand that.
Oh wait '' its still the Biden Economy '' right?

This has been demonstrated time and time again in practice not to be true.

Private industry exists to maximise profit. There's absolutely zero incentive to make 'the spending of money more efficient' for the government.

On the contrary, there is nothing unexpected in what he is doing. He is simply putting in place actions to support his promises. ie Peace in the Middle East, tariffs on imports, tighten up the borders, crack down on illegal immigrants, crack down on Federal waste, end wokeness in government and yes that means men in womens sports.
These are all things he strongly campaigned on.

On the flip side none of the doom and gloom has come true.
Abortions are still a state based matter despite the crazy belief he would ban them, democracy has not ended - elections take place as they always have, the list goes on and on and on.

People see through all the hysteria. They look at what is happening to them in real terms.
Continuing to lie about what he will do or has done is just sinking the Dems further and further away from mainstream USA
Hows his war on drugs doing after he pardoned the man who trafficked 400 tons of cocaine into the us?

Oh shit I forgot its an X post - my bad

I shouldnt post facts from X

In his second term Donald Trump has torn up not just trade rules but the machinery of economic measurement. After lashing out at weak job figures, he sacked the head of the Bureau of Labour Statistics in August, unsettling markets. A month-long government shutdown has since paused nearly all official data releases, leaving policymakers “driving in the fog”, as Jerome Powell, chair of the Federal Reserve, put it.

Private estimates disagree with each other on employment and spending trends, making it hard to gauge the economy’s true state. GDP still grew in the second quarter, but retail sales have weakened, housing starts have fallen to their lowest since 2020 and an immigration crackdown is tightening labour supply.

Or maybe Fox News ?Oh wait

Not only is the economy still grinding under the strain of inflation, high housing costs, and rising bills for energy and insurance, the messaging around those issues is starting to crack — even in places that once functioned as Trump’s best bulwarks.

This hurried sales job, notably, follows shortly after the president’s rhetoric turned sharply dismissive on “affordability” concerns, so much so that even his most loyal surrogates have been scrambling to explain it.

Trump called the affordability crisis a “scam” and a Democrat-crafted “con job” during a Cabinet meeting last Tuesday (in between his apparent naps), telling reporters that “affordability … doesn’t mean anything to anybody.”

🤣

lol

Trump put that Sth African immigrant in charge of DOGE to reign in the foreign debt.

USA gov. debt has never been rising more quickly than it is now.

And DOGE delivered nothing.

I’ll put you down for 5 bridges.

Its the US economy.
Normal people understand that these things take time to turn around.
So what you're saying is abnormal people are still cheering him on?
Still a damm strong economy compared to the rest of the world save for the Oil Rich countries.
I think we are doing ok

Here are some more facts that hurt your feelings

New Jersey in August to tell them: “When I win, I will immediately bring prices down, starting on Day One.”

Just a few days later, in York, Pennsylvania, he told a large rally crowd that “this will help us quickly defeat inflation and make America affordable again.”

It was a promise he made in most of his economy-focused speeches, especially toward the end of the campaign, when many voters said the economy and prices were their main concern.

Status: Mixed

During his 100 days in office, inflation has cooled from 3% to 2.4%. However, the tariffs and unruly markets have made economists jittery. Prices, especially at the grocery store, have continued to rise, especially because of the tariffs on imported foods. Consumer confidence hit a 12-year low in March.

Trump nevertheless projected confidence at a Rose Garden event on April 2, the day he imposed “reciprocal” tariffs.

“Groceries went through the roof, and I campaigned on that. I talked about the word ‘groceries’ for a lot. And energy costs now are down. Groceries are down. Gasoline is way under $3, and people are beginning to be able to buy things and live again. We brought prices way down,” he said.

The numbers tell a different story. The rate of inflation has decreased from 3% in January to 2.4% in March, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Prices, however, have either increased or stayed relatively the same. The average price of eggs increased from $4.95 in January to $6.22 in March. The average price of bacon dropped 70 cents from January to March. And the price of gas has stayed relatively flat, increasing just 20 cents a gallon from January to March.

I ask again, How is donny's war going on drugs when he pardons a man convicted of trafficking 400 tons of cocaine into the US?
The war on drugs is fifty three year old and only St Kilda can match it's lack of success over that time.
