Bring Renshaw in but for Marnus for me. Have him bat no.3. Marnus has not be great at all this series and looked awful outside the off stump on a very flat wicket. Think Weatherald will end up decent.

If we are bringing in a number 3 why not just pick Sydney

He's an interesting one. Certainly has the knack of taking wickets. Punter is pushing for Kuhnemann (Tassie) because he's a left armer, but he's hardly played any cricket this season. Lyons wasn't a leftie so I'm not sure why that's an issue. I've never known what to make of Tom Murphy.
Yeah, but what about Todd Murphy? 😀

Yeah i dunno mate. I think we have batting issues deeper than Marnus to correct. Inglis is the one that worries me as a test batsmen. Id sooner see Renshaw at 6 or opening even. Hugely unpopular but id still like Head back down the order but the bastard keeps dominating as an opener. :tearsofjoy:

And it's stupid that some entirely dismiss T20 form when considering someone for Test selection. Obviously FC runs should be a prerequisite, but if someone has the FC runs and is seeing them well in the BBL, that should help their cause.
If it's Renshaw you're talking about, I've never been the greatest fan, but he has been in wonderful form this season, and if they are ever going to select him again, now would be the time. He's making runs every time he bats.

To be fair, as much as I loathe Piers Morgan (and I also find it interesting everyone's doing exactly what he wants by engagement rage baiting), he has a point here. Lee was bowling massive no balls and bowling short stuff following his body as he was backing away. All Lee had to do was bowl some medium paced yorkers, clean bowled Piers, and everyone could have moved on. Dick move by Lee.
I agree with this.

Everyone thinks it's funny because "duh huh Piers Morgan", but the reality is Lee was sending down bumpers directly into the head and body of a complete amateur unable to defend himself.

He could have bowled 6 high bouncers that would still have had Morgan ducking and cowering, but sail over his head and not risk any action injury. Or 6 yorkers that would have had Morgan sprawling flat on his face with the stumps cartwheeling into next week.

Morgan would still have been humiliated but without any actual risk of injury.

Unless he's unfit or injured there's no way I'd be dropping Starc. Instrumental in the first two tests. 3 wickets in the second innings in the 3rd, on top of a vital 50 in the first innings. He's our 4th highest scoring batsman in the series so far as well. No way you repay his contributions with deselection just because he didn't snare a scalp in one innings. The fact you can't decide who should replace him tops it off really.

His body is cooked may as well preserve what he has left.

Plus Lee was bowling no balls by about four feet, so to the extent Morgan couldn't defend himself, he wasn't even facing legal deliveries

Marnus signed my mate's kids bat today so he's in the good books and should play in Melbourne for that alone.

God are we going full Pom sympathy mode and hour after humiliating the campaigners
Morgan is a twat but it was actually dangerous.
A cricket ball as we know is very hard. That bruise on Smiths inside leg showed it.
Copped one like that and was black from groin to knee.

If he didnt know facing Brett Lee in the nets with zero ability wasn't dangerous the campaigner deserved to get hurt

Wish Binga hit him in the middle stump lol

Hopefully those who wet their beds at home can put a load of washing on before the end of the day.
Yep I can put my hand up and say that I spoke too early lol. I felt at the time that this was the cricket reincarnation of the Melbourne/St Kilda game this year but then I remembered that the Australian cricket team don't choke nearly as often as MFC do :)
