Well, kinda.

R20 St Kilda beat Melbourne by 6 points.
R21 St Kilda beat Norf by 9 points
R22 St Kilda beat Richmond by 4 points.
Just lost to gws, hawks freo and swans by an average of less than 2 goals. NWM was the best player in the game too. Certainly not a walk over at that point.

Captains were asked who they love beating the most...

Jordan Dawson: “It’s hard to go past Port

Harris Andrews: “It’s always nice beating Gold Coast

Patrick Cripps: “Any big rivals, so Collingwood, Richmond and Essendon - they’re the main three

Darcy Moore with zero hesitation: “Definitely Carlton

Andy McGrath with a nod of the head: “Collingwood.”

Alex Pearce: “West Coast, obviously.”

Patrick Dangerfield: “The Hawks on (Easter) Monday is pretty good.”

Noah Anderson succinctly: “Brisbane.”

Toby Greene with a wry smile: “Yeah, the Swans.”

Jai Newcombe with no hesitation: “Essendon.”

Max Gawn: “I like winning at Adelaide Oval, so Port Adelaide.”

Nick Larkey: “We’ve been on the other end of them over the years.

“One club I’d love to beat is Essendon.

(Lol he's guessing what It might feel like)

Connor Rozee while smiling: “Probably the Crows.”

Toby Nankervis: “Any of them, but probably the big Melbourne clubs like Carlton, Collingwood, Melbourne, those sort of teams.”

Cal Wilkie: “Collingwood, it’s always nice to get them done in front of a big crowd.”

Callum Mills: “Giants, for sure.”

Reuben Ginbey: “Freo, definitely.

Marcus Bontempelli: “Always like beating the Giants.

I'm sorry Pidge, this just ain't going to work out if you can't get a simple answer like Hawthorne right, even a blockhead like Newcombe knows how it works.

I'm sorry Pidge, this just ain't going to work out if you can't get a simple answer like Hawthorne right, even a blockhead like Newcombe knows how it works.
He just had to preface the answer with, its hard to split Carlton Collingwood and Hawthorn.
But Hawthorns coach is such a flog, has to tip it over the edge and be the Hawks.
But I do love winning on Anzac Day.

Imagine the round 1 fireworks then
🤣

For me it's pretty simple...

1. Hawthorne, Just a horrible joint, terrible colours, turd of a coach, bratty players, shitty Swinburne kid fans, and the 80s are still there

2 Carlton, loathsome joint, blockhead fans, great to beat but deep down it's a bit like looking in the mirror, we've come from the same place

3 Norf.. fun to beat but more in the way you invite the slow kid up to road to play cricket with so you've got someone to bowl to you all day and get the balls from the prickle bush... In the end you feel a bit sorry for em

4. Stkilda, not for the team, but their arseh*le fans, Ive never seen a group so uppity who have never won anything, pretty sure it's cause they hate themselves

5. Sydney, dirty stinking cheats, umpires friends, fans who knows nothing but get in your face anyway.

6. Collingwood/Richmond/Wce, a little something there but it's more depending on their form and premiership window

Everyone else, meh

I think McGrath is the best option for where the team is currently at but he is just a stop gap. Durham i think will be our next captain. Love the way he plays and doesn't squib the contest.
He is leading another generation of mediocrity, a stop gap? Just another few years of meh
