Hardly the end of the club by wearing a one off jumper in one of our "official" colours.

I just have no fondness for our home guernsey or its variants at all. The guernsey doesn't feel like Port Adelaide at all, we've had the worst era in our history wearing it. It was designed by a 9yo in a competition and selected because we had a massive identity crisis in the 2000s and wanted something fresh, but it's just a generic guernsey in our colours. It's the big bash franchise of guernseys

In my feedback I asked more prison bar games. More focus on the traditional port gear (especially the retro stuff) and to bring back the PORT lifestyle range.

The teal supporters all seem to be happy clappers who jumped on board and have no connection to the history of the club.

This sort of shit just strengthens McGuire and AFL push to kill the black n white concept at Port

As the colour teal is derived from the duck with feathers of that colour, it should now be retired from Port Adelaide's suite of colours following the departure of Ken Hinkley, who famously holds the record for the longest coaching stint with a duck of Grand Final appearances.

It's probably not the worst looking thing in the world. It's just not Port Adelaide, or what the majority of us die hard members want Port Adelaide to look like. It's catering to kids and new fans and completely disregarding our proper history.

The Venn diagram of those who voted for Tommy and those who love this guernsey would be a circle I think.

Which is concerning given how many votes he got.

Then again if the club came out and said that we were wearing prison bars and the member elect cannot be a past player or administrator then the same crowd would lap that up too.

We would be lucky for Ken to even wash himself in the ganges, he would probably smell less like a corpse somehow.
