The game was won by Finn.

The game was put in jeopardy by brainlet Simpkin who decided to be selfish instead of ice the game. This guy was our captain for years. Hopefully was bottoming out by making that change but maybe we bottom out when he's not picked.

Frustrating but happy with the win, but not happy with the inconsistency of performance.

• The gap between our best and worst football is as wide as it's ever been, when we play good football, it's competitive and fun to watch, but when we are at our worst we are an embarrassment.
• Finn O'Sullivan may be the best player on our list, his skills are exquisite and his work rate is first class.
• Tom Blamires and Cooper Trembath have been amazing finds, both have strong futures ahead of them.
• I hope Simpkin and CCJ find their way into the VFL in the coming weeks, we will not improve while these two remain in our AFL team.
• 2 and 1 with Carlton, Brisbane and Richmond in the next three weeks, it would be nice for the development of the team if we can win 2.

Yep agree. But we’ve got so many softies who simply can’t be relied on when the going gets tough: Stephens, McKercher, Duursma and Powell among others - and so many knuckleheads who make crap decisions under pressure: Comben, McDonald, Curtis, Simpkin and Zurhaar among others - that we can’t be expected to ever deliver consistently strong performances. (And what was that the end? If McKercher, the ‘silky smooth left footer’ can’t kick that goal when there’s no pressure on, what chance is he when the games on the line? None.)
Kudos however to O’Sullivan, Parker, Pink, Sheezel, Daniel and Xerri for having a dip ….
