Oh well there you go then. Nothing like a good unfounded stereotype to score points with.I doubt the average Sydney supporter would have the footy nous to make any critical evaluations.
Pisstake is fine, but your comment about 1st generation supporters only shows your ignorance.Respect. My comment was part piss take and part recognition of an evolving membership that mostly consists of 1st generation supporters.
Of course your club was an exemplar of ethics in that saga.Could you find a shitter bloke than Kurt Tippett?
Bye Kurt. The game is richer with you no longer apart of it.
I’d say he has regrets coming to Sydney f’sureIts a flop for Buddy!
That aside, agree with the last line what were Sydney thinking??!!!
He's changing it to bottom 47 in honour of the retirementsMofra's 2018 Bottom 50 is gunna be interesting !
Not likely to help this year, but should free up half a million pa the following years with the cba injury clause.I could be wrong but doesn't Tippett's payments stay in the cap?
It's not a good sign that you have to point individual games where a million dollar player player well.Round 9 in 2016 against the Hawks was also really good
(19 disposals, 2 goals, 35 hitouts)
as was the preliminary final against North in 2014
(15 disposals, 4 goals and 12 hitouts)
It's not a good sign that you have to point individual games where a million dollar player player well.
The guy was a dud in my book
I am not sure how it works
Jake Naill said it is only a percentage of his contract.
I'm guessing it's a negotiated amount. Otherwise he could just turn up and hang out in the medical room for a full payday. This way he gets paid out a percentage but can go live his life as he sees fit immediately. That's hilarious. Where do you come up with such witticisms?
The finish line for the COLA advantage arrives just as the academy is bearing magnificent fruit.
Well done AFL. Not a beat was missed.
Karma has hit Sydney with this one.
How so?Karma has hit Sydney with this one.
They don’t have to pay him but what difference does that make given it comes off the cap?7 contested marks and 4 goals in a prelim in a losing team against Hawthorn is not something anyone on here who's shitting on him would have gotten within 1000 miles of doing, and he was good enough to kick 4 in another prelim as well.
Kicked 55 goals one year (at just 22yo), while also averaging 10 hitouts per game!- and kicked 325 goals in total- and in another season averaged 24 hitouts and a goal a game.
Kicked 44 goals in another season, while also averaging 17 hitouts.
Took 50 contested marks another year (only 4 took more than that this year), while also kicking 39 goals, and took over 40 contested marks in 3 more seasons.
Some very good seasons of footy right there and some top performances on very big stages.
Was overpaid in his latter years, based on output, but given the fact he kicked 55 and 46 goals in his 2nd and 3rd seasons of playing seniors, he was probably underpaid for them. Possibly by a lot.
Chances are part of the reason he's retiring now is so that Sydney don't have to pay him a big chunk of coin for this year, too, that he doesn't feel he deserves.
A very long way from a bad career and it's no surprise that someone of 202cm and 100kg+ struggled playing with a bung ankle in his last 18 months.
How? The Swans tried to make their list better, something every other club tries every year.
That’s possible, but it needs to be something, or it will unhinge free agency contracts.
I see him having an enduring career propping a door open somewhere....He’s finally taken that job in Myer as a hat rack!

So basically you need to discount the last 18 months in terms of his performances because it does look like the injury he got in Round 11 in 2016 was something he never really got over, and played with for every game since then.
I'm just happy I didn't have to see this prick win a flag. Good riddens.
I thought he was out injured that year?Forgive me for not remembering 2015 for Tippett's supposed dominant first half of the season.
Can we pls not turn this into yet another Richmond thread? The endorphins have just about blown out all of my synapses. To be fair it’s not like he would’ve won one last year either if he stayed
