What's your worst cricket memory?

I was pretty nasty towards your team not showing any fight. No hard feelings. I hope you guys can turn it around
Would t have seen any of your posts. I’ve seen like 2 hrs of the series due to work and us being shit. Didn’t even bother venturing into game day thread. Think the side has reached its low point in history so far and hopefully the get the offi field shit sorted first and that might see an improvement onfield.

Also looks like the coach in getting the sack.

Boxing day 2010 comes to mind. England had the better of the first two tests and were worthy of going to Perth 1-0 up. Australia won in Perth as they always do against England and leveled the series at 1-1. England won the toss, bowled first, bowled Australia out for 98 in just over two sessions and from there the Ashes were their's barring a miracle. The result was one thing, the manner of Australia's capitulation was the disappointment.

I secretly wanted Matthews to play this entire series knowing he'd make runs against our shitty attack and do his pressups and flexing for the coaches again like in NZ. That was so funny

First day of South Africa v England at Lords 2017. Was pumped to see the South Africa bowling line-up but they bowled like a bunch of park cricketers. Rabada particularly was disappointing. Root did bat exceptionally well to nearly get a double ton.

I did get to see Rabada in full flight a month or so earlier when he ran through England in an ODI match, having them 6/20 at one point. That was great fun that day.

(P.S. The South African quick bowlers are guns - they just had an off day)

If only some of Mitchell starcs biggest critics here could remember that match as well as you do. He bowled like the wind that game and knocked over mccullum first over with a beauty. Still, that was tough for you blokes you had a great chance to win

Was dumb batting from McCullum really, he was swinging at everything in the first over when he should have just tried to see Starc off and tee off later on.

Losing him in the first over was a huge blow and they never really recovered after that, a score of 180 odd was never going to be enough.

Just waiting for a South African supporter to come in here and say "1999 World Cup Semi Final against Australia was disappointing"

Imagine being on the wrong end of that..

Pretty much every World Cup would be disappointing if you were a South African supporter, they have been serial chokers at those tournaments.

The only disappointing aspect of that match for me was Brad haddin and some unnecessary sledging. He went overboard

I went to Guildford to watch a Sunday League game when Warwickshire played Surrey and Lara was in the middle of that golden run that included his 501. He made a three ball duck.

Yep haha. 1992 SF when they needed 22 off 1 ball

Even the Super Sixes game with Gibbs dropping Waugh - had they won that, from memory they would have gone through instead of us in the drawn semi final?

Didn't they **** up a DL calculation to miss out on progressing to the 2nd round in their WC at home in 2003?

96 WC Final was disappointing as well considering the hard work we did getting to the final against NZ and WI. Just rolled over in the final a bit.

Warne not getting his 100 at the WACA.
Off a no-ball nonetheless .

The 2008 Sydney test against India stands out for me. Despite the cracking finish, it was marred by atrocious umpiring and overall poor sportsmanship. Neither side really came out looking good after that.

I had no sympathy in spite of the no ball. He could have hit the ball along ground anywhere for a single and he'd have a test ton to his name.

Agree with you about the SCG test in 2008

Pollock had the wrong number on his print out of the DL scenarios. Either that or he didn't read it right. Either way Boucher blocked the last ball before the rain stopped the game thinking they were ahead. If he got a single they'd have won

Something like along those lines - cant quite remember.

I think Boucher was told SA needed their score to be 229/6 after 45 overs to win but in fact 229/6 after 45 overs was enough for a tie on DL. Boucher hit Murali for 6 on the 2nd last ball of the 45th over, the last ball was a dot with Boucher seemingly convinced SA were home if the match ended there and then.

I remember Greigy having a massive sook over the format after they got knocked out, how about blaming the team's poor performance and dumbarse captain.
