This is the first time since Round 1 2012, that Brisbane will finish a round inside the top 8. It's been far too f***ing long:

- In that time I've graduated high school and university
- Julia Gillard was PM
- Adelaide Oval redevelopment hadn't even begun
- Cheynee Stiller and Ben Hudson played for us in that game. Daniel Rich and Ryan Lester are the only players from that game still listed with us.

A long time, but for tonight at least, we've got a reason to be happy and maybe hold some optimism for this season

Meh, Buddy kicked 8 on us in round one last year and we went on to win 10 in a row. Playing with a bar of soap hasn't helped and Brisbane were pretty good last year despite a few close losses. Happy to get this one out of the way. A wake up call in round one isn't necessarily a bad thing, considering the conditions, 5 weeks less of pre-season and the amount of inexperienced players playing in this game.

Brisbane dominating in these conditions, look very sapped after the first quarter. We'll bounce back next week and hopefully with JK and Willie back in the side.

Rough trip to take for the start of the season, shouldn't have to head to Brisbane until mid year. What a bummer, Brisbane look like a good team finally

That's the thing though. Not all of these matches are actual upsets. Only natural a few of these teams will drop in form and some of them will improve. It is hard to work out which is which.
