Yeah I guess so, as long as you don’t quit you’re on the jury
Reem being on the jury but the person voted out on Day ~34 not being would be incredible.

Imagine being on the Jury without getting to go to Jury Villa. If I were ever on Survivor, that would be one of the biggest perks I could think of.

So everyone pretty much agrees that Joe will win his way back, go on an immunity run and win it? Yeah me too.

If I was in the game, yes.

From the edit? No.

Either him or Chris are likely. If there are more "disadvantages" given out Chris might be the benefit from Joe being out there and being the more significant threat.

If Joe gets back I can see him sweeping the Returnee vote, since he has met them all before and it's easy to give $1mil to a friend over a stranger. Plus I think he gets Chris and reem after spending 20 days providing for them, and gets Aurora and Julia (provided they get booted before 6th).

Everyone else I can see voting against him because either a) they were screwed by the twist, b)don't want to reward the returnee c) he didn't do any strategizing at any point.

Yeah, he'd need Wentworth, Devens and the other returnee on the jury (cos I think they'd vote as a block). His ideal set would be Aurora, Julia, Wentworth, Lauren (who I think would vote with Wentworth), Devens and then he wins his way back

Not sure I agreed with the twist of the extinction island players being on the jury. Always felt in Survivor lore that it’s some you needed to “earn” by going deep in the game (post merge etc).

But not sure if that will continue here, it’s going to be a very large jury group and final tribal if so.

Caught up this evening.
Said 'F**K' that loud when Wendy dropped the ball in the challenge my neighbors def heard.

Finding the contestants quite vanilla this season and at this stage really don't care who wins.

Do we really need the super close up confessionals from the Extinction people?

I thought it was just me, I absolutely noticed this too. Last few episodes in fact. Not sure why they’ve zoomed in so much, bizarre.

lol the editors must think their viewers are idiots judging by that transition they used to emphasise that Lauren was dizzy

Yep that was perhaps unnecessary but can see they probably did it to try and soften the tone. She did look very unwell and it’s always unsettling seeing someone’s eyes kind of roll back like that and passing out.

As for the episode, very nicely done. Finally the gameplay has begun. One of Wardog’s lectures to others on how to play finally paid off.

Really ballsy of Kelley and Lauren to continually not use their idols. The others would have to doubt that they've got one too since they haven't shown any signs of them so far.

Good move from the bottom of the Kama pack, albeit potentially 1 vote too early. Really can't stand Ron, he and Eric thought they had everyone in their pockets. Also didn't expect Devens to be so openly bitter about it, guess that's his time on Extinction Island coming out.

I haven’t seen all of the Survivor seasons, but the majority of them. And in my time following this show, I’ve never seen the family visit being used as such a thing as it was in this episode.

Good editing to emphasise how many times they banged on about it. Even at tribal. Surely the caliber of players now can see right through that and know they’re being taken for a ride.

Great to see Ron’s face as the votes were being read out. And Devens too, his apologetic “it’s not me” look to Eric was gold.

Finally feel this season is starting to move now, I think Gavin is a decent player and biding his time well, it’s going to be great to watch the next few manoeuvres.

Spat my drink out lolololol

I think taking Joe out is a really stupid move. Not only is he very likely to re-enter, but he now has the opportunity to live with and build positive relationships with the jury in a non game environment. He will feed and support them and re-enter the game having never voted for Reem or Chris and being the only person really loyal to Aubry.

Dumb, dumb, dumb AF.
I like Joe but I had a bit of a different reaction to the episode where he got voted out. I thought it showed how weak strategically he is. He'd seen Aubry voted out ahead of Wendy by 3 of his Karma tribe but seemingly did nothing about being the probable target when he didn't win immunity, so much so that some thought he just sat at camp working on his pattern (or whatever it was??). A smarter player eg Wentworth or Aubry could have rallied the Lesu players and Aurora and organised a 7-6 vote targeting Eric, Victoria or Gavin (given they are the ones he should have known were targeting returning players). Alternatively if he wanted to give them 'benefit of the doubt' he could have gone 6-6 and trashed his own vote, with the plan that the revote would be 6 for Eric/Vic/Gavin and 5 for himself if they had targeted him or with a decision to make to stick with Karma or go with Lesu if they hadn't targeted him.

As for the EE players being on the jury. I think it's just a way of letting them have some idea of knowing what's going on in the game (given they could return to it) and doubt that they will be on the real jury awarding the $1m (would be too many players and some not having earned the right)

Im presuming there’s at least one more edge of extinction challenge for a player to come back into the game. And perhaps the half dozen or so that are remaining are then removed from the game completely (ie, not even on the jury?).

They are all on the jury, as long as they don’t quit
