We have got that now and we seem to not be moving forward the way we should.

Because we kicked off the season tactically 3 steps behind the opposition.

We also kicked off the season under too much training load. Because that's how they roll.

Now we're confused trying to bridge the tactical gap.

It'll get there but the seasons f***ed.

It was f***ed after round 1. That is the source of the agnst. We've all been here. We've seen this story before.

Id be more content if we came out and said we're just gonna play as many kids as we can. At least that would bring enjoyment and hope.

Right now we're no where and achieving nothing.

There are possibly 4 players who will come in to make us better (Jed, Ahern, Williams and Jacobs/Daw who are miles away).

He will not drop his favourites, ever. Never has, never will. I assure you people the next 4 guys on his chopping block are TT, Scott, LDU and Simpkin.

If he starts dropping the kids then action must be taken.

I think what maybe saving Brad at the moment is the performances of Melbourne and Essendon, two clubs who were expected to perform better than us this season, both have well regarded coaches, but both are performing as badly as we are.

This may very well be true. And if it is true it just shows how piss weak our club is. I don't, and I hope no one at NMFC doesn't, give two shits about what's happening at Melbourne or Essendon. Are we seriously waiting for them to start winning so we feel pressured into doing something to help fixing a club that's been stuck in a groove of mediocrity for near on twenty years? Oh, no need to do anything now we're 0-3 and 17th because Melbourne are 0-3 and 18th and they we're meant to be better than us. Bollocks to that. The club used to be driven by hard-arses who bristled at the very thought of losing a quarter. The place is currently run by muppets who do nothing for fear of denting someone's self esteem.

Tarryn needs more conditioning.

The other 3 won't get dropped.

Magnificent.

YOU actually understand what this club is about, in comparison to the charlatans down at Arden Street who toss the word "shinboner" around as if it's something you get in a McDonald's happy meal.

Are you available to form part of an alternative board ticket?

I wouldn't be too upset if Brad drops Simpkin, he seems to have regressed this season and maybe a few games in the VFL will do him good, but Thomas, Scott and LDU need to stay in to gain confidence and understanding of what is required, and besides, I think LDU has been one of the positives so far this season.

I hope the newspapers and the AFL shows tonight give us a bit of a serve and don't just focus on Melbourne and Essendon as they have done the previous two weeks. This is the time we need the media to be harsh and to point out our failings to the coaches and board. It's no guarantee that anything will be done, but hopefully it will wake them up.

Cue Ron Joesph

Actually prime viewing this week down there should be the Keep North South video

All three of us have losable games this week

The heat will come if we lose v Crows and put in a loss v * on Good Friday

Damage control has to be Scotts opening up to us about what is going on; atm the damage is generalities; as I said last night I can stomach losses but can’t stomach straight bat answers

The story will be Dusty today. Then Melbourne.

A few other people looking for an alternate yarn will go Brad, but yeah, it's not gonna be enough.

Think we might have to wait another week and take another loss for us to be in the gun.

On Sunday afternoons we are forgotten but two big stages over the next two weeks is where the eyes will be focused on us.

Scott will know this too. A big loss either game will have the attention turned to him. Reporters like Mcgowan can echo the sentiment of us here but no one will care yet as on face value we look competitive. Would have been great to play WCE or GWS right now, but i still expect 2 average teams to take wins against us. Maybe that will be enough.

I wouldn't hold your breath. And even then the NMFC board 'gun' is just a water pistol. Not one of those kick arse super soaker ones mind you. It's one of those $2 shop see through plastic ones that could hardly reach your sister from across the dinner table and the trigger breaks after a dozen squirts anyway.

Feels to me like they are hanging on desperately trying to get a win before the Good Friday game and completely gun shy about making necessary changes (both at team and coaching level) before that. Fear is the great paralyzer.

We get 1 more week i would say.

I can see Melbourne coming out and beating Sydney up there on Thursday. They arent anywhere near as bad as they have been playing so far. Carlton could also get their first win against Gold Coast too. That leaves us as the sole side on 0-4 if things go as expected against Adelaide.

Then the heat will finally come

Just want to echo the support for Laidley in parts of the thread.

Know reliably he did and still loves the club and made several decisions for its good even if they didn't all turn out perfectly.

He coached under the worst set of circumstances in terms of overall club unification and available resources of any coach in our modern history. For example in 2003 he wasn't even given any rookies for $ reasons. In 2007 as we all know he was trying to steer a team to finals while the board was actively trying to flatline the club all the way to Carrarra.

His time had come and he did the honourable thing by falling on his sword. He never spun snake-tongued corporate speak about results. Despite the very limited conditions he coached under he still managed 3 finals series vs Brad's 4 and managed a top 4 ladder finish which Brad never has.

Dean rightly finished things up in 2009 but left the nucleus of the 2014/15 preliminary finals sides and an on-field culture that couldn't be questioned for physicality or discipline.

3 years ago I thought Scott's time was up but would've defended him strongly with regards to the culture he'd built and the fact I was convinced he'd remove himself from the job without payout the second he thought he wasn't best for the club.

I'm now skeptical about either of the last points.

I'm sure this has been mentioned before but some things are worth repeating:

Scott currently ranks 3rd for most AFL/VFL games coached without making a grand final, and is the only one of those three coaches to do it solely at the one club./QUOTE]

I think this has to be the clear issue - the pay out is the roadblock.

What is Brad ballpark on? 350k? 400k? It is a big amount of money and not something you budget for easily, even as a multi-million dollar business.

This NEEDS to part of the public conversation - club is gonna need at least 600k to move him on if he still there mid-year.

Do we need bigwigs with big wallets to be talked round to chip in?

Sack half the General Managers. Problem solved.

We are officially out of ideas, no clue which way to go. Our 'problem' is that Brad is accountable to those that are equally out of their depth. Hence why I'd suggest he looks so smug, no one is going to challenge him or his plans.

This thread shouldn't be just sack Scott, that dimwit Joyces is no better, The bloody pelican sits in the box with Brad- what's Cam do on match day? Order Uber eats? He'd probably **** that up.

On exposed form he'd order excess burgers, burgers that would be controversial like Filet-o-fish. Too many for the box, so we'd have excess sitting in the bag. Then only 3 large fries and 2 cokes.

Different aspects of the club's spending I know, but I'd rather fork out 600K now to pay Brad out, than pay over that for another club's midfielder who'll have all the best parts coached out of him to be part of a mid-table finish.

Any hint whether board see themselves as entrenched or would all step aside with Scott and Joyce for the great good if things tilted that way?

Would it take an opposing ticket to shake them out of there?
