They were smashed in clearances/inside 50's until the last quarter. They realized in the last quarter they were in trouble and put the foot down, end up finishing on top of all those stats... but stuffed around too much early on. Bad coaching from the Ken. Can't get his men fired up against a VFL team. Sack the guy already!

it's a bloody hard game to officiate. You only have to be at a game to see fans from different sides view the same incident in different ways.

From my POV, Cats are 1 of the most hard done by teams where umps are concerned. Any of the 50/50 calls go against.

Port are missing alot of players as well and are blooding a very young new core ... it was a good game but they are hardly trash .
You guys only just got up against the Bulldogs , the comp is super even , all wins are earned

Power are being bent over by the men in green, this has been horrendously blatant favouritism in the umpiring for Richmond

Richmond have had the worst time with the umpires of any club in the last year- that's on record,fact- it's one club you can't play an umpire card on. Focus on the performances of the players/coaches.

The rule is not crossed the line. The rule is after the umpire signalled all clear

Ump straight out lied by saying he had signalled all clear before the push as he would of had to have signalled it just as the ball crossed the line which he wouldn’t of

Funny seeing Tom Lynch's game talked up because he scored a bag of 6 goals

He got on the end of two fast breaks and added the icing to the cake. But it wasn't his good play. It was his teammates further afield who beat Port's defensive press. One of these, he was pushed in the back and given a gift goal from the umps (That's 3 goals where he did nothing but kick straight from close range)

He also a score another goal from a 50m penalty after he was hit on the tit and played on 70m from goal. The umpire should've called on. Instead, the umpire penalised the Port defender in the harshest way possible.

That's 4 cherry-picked or ump-assisted goals

He scunged a pretty good goal from a metre out when Port defenders failed to punch it through for a rushed behind. Can't remember how he scored his first goal - probably a laces out foot pass which he marked on his chest and duly converted


... and listen to his number one fan, Jonathan Brown hyping him up afterwards.
(Brown is such a flog. Easily the worst commentator on Fox Footy)

Disclaimer: I don't mind the Tiges and I like Lynch... Good player. I bloody wish we had him (but I'm not salty he signed with Richmond)

It's funny how the umpires whingers are complaining about the Lynch free but happy with a clear free to Grimes off the ball being ignored as Port got a goal from the kick.
