Born in 68 and converted to the Shinboner spirit not long after! Blessed with the 70's! Tough times in the 80's but I believed in North Melbourne. From then to 2007, **** am all! You know I go back a ways, and I might be seen as a an over the top shit stirrer, and there's definitely merit in that on occasion, but straight up 100% honest to the North people out there, there hasn't been a worse 5 games of football from a North side, based on an age and talent to output , than I am currently witnessing right now, and I go back to the 70's!

We are currently at 50 year levels of putrid. It's really that bad.

Honestly what does this even mean? What are our internal expectations? Given the way you recruited you built these external expectations. And why Cant we replicate the competitive effort from last year? That means you can't movitate the players, that they are comfortable not giving 100% and content knowing they are going to get picked every week. This comment from The coach just makes me so angry because you know there is an issue but not doing shit all about it

This is EXACTLY what i thought after reading that passage. The sad truth is this is simply the sort of crap that is being peddled because we have absolutely no direction. Were on a hiding to nothing and untill the trajectory changes this crap will continue to be peddled.

Having been rostered on to work today driving to work seeing all the other traffic on the road being caravans , boats camping trailers etc, i genuinely felt i was unfortinate to be working on such a fine day.

Agree Snake. That’s our worst 5 game stretch since at least the late 80’s. Laidley wouldn’t have let that happen. We might have lost but they would have fought till the end and scrapped

It’s very depressing when you think about our key issues and the fact that answers aren’t really in the VFL either. Our entire list seems to be much worse than I thought it to be. Can’t see any quick fixes.

The skill is one thing, but if this isn’t the worst forward line we have put on the park since pre Schimma coaching days, then please remind me which was worse.

Don't feel too down, because our entire list is not worse than you thought. I refuse to believe that. It is a list of players that are too scared to take it on, the few that are (outside of Cunnington and a couple of mates) can't kick straight when they do. LDU got caught a few times today - and that's because unlike most of the other crabs in there he actually realises that only by attacking the contest will they actually have a chance to win, unfortunately every time he does there is literally nobody there to deliver it too because they're too busy running to the wrong spots.
